“ Is it worth it, to do the wrong thing for the right reason? No. Life is unpredictable, and the future is unclear. All we can strive for is to act according to our principles, and do what we consider right. The rest doesn't matter. ”

― Tyris to Sunny,
Chapter 1005 The Fall of Falcon Scott (23)

Tyris is supposed to be the only saint on Chained Isles and a member of the White Feather Clan.[4] She is also one of the few Saints of the human race, the demigod in charge of the Chained Isles.[2]

Appearance

Debut - Dream Realm

She was tall and slender, her posture straight like an arrow. She was wearing light steel armor, its pauldrons, and greaves decorated with white feathers. Her long blond hair was fluttering in the wind like a cascade of pale gold. She has amber eyes, and her face was cold and stunningly beautiful, more akin to a goddess than a human being.[2]

The Saint exerted a strange influence on everything that surrounded her. As if the world itself was reacting to her. The blades of grass seemed to bend slightly toward her, the winds sang subtly lower as she approached, and even sunlight appeared to become a bit brighter in her presence.[2]

Antarctica Campaign

The woman standing in front of Sunny was tall and slender, with long hair that fell down in a gentle cascade of pale gold. Her posture was perfectly straight, and her cold face was dazzlingly beautiful.

Sky Tide was wearing a suit of light steel armor, with pauldrons and greaves decorated with stylized feathers. The gaze of her stern amber eyes was piercing and heavy, while her strange vertical pupils resembled that of a bird of prey.

— Chapter 857 Jade Beetle

Personality

She was pretty down to earth, just a bit cold.[5] She gives off an impression of being a reclusive and fiercely independent woman.[6]

She embodied a calm yet unyielding authority, firmly rooted in her identity as a vassal of the King, rather than a servant of Valor. This distinction fuels her independence and defiance against external powers. Tyris's calm demeanor hides a fierce resolve, evident in her willingness to stand against even fearsome figures like Cormac without faltering.[3]

In Chapter 1005, she expressed being principled and unwavering, valuing integrity above all. She believes in doing what's right, regardless of uncertainty or consequences, refusing to compromise her ethics for any reason.

Aspect, Abilities & Flaw

She can command winds.[7] Sky Tide is a versatile Saint with the ability to control wind and lightning, delivering more severe punishment to a single powerful enemy.[8]

Transformation Ability

A giant bird of prey, her feathers white, her sharp beak and devastating talons forged out of lustrous, polished steel. Her enormous wings were wreathed in thunderclouds, and bolts of lightning danced around her body like a radiant mantle.[3]

Background

“ You have forgotten, Cormac… I am Sky Tide of the White Feather clan, not Valor. I am a vassal of the King… not his servant. Six years ago, I looked the other way and allowed your odious scheme to happen. I have regretted it ever since. This is my land, my isles. You are only a guest here. I warn you… do not test the limits of my hospitality! ”

― Tyris to Cormac,
Chapter 596 And We Were Gone

Under her protection, the young Prince of War arrived in Chained Isles. When Valor plotted to ambush him, she followed orders and did nothing, carrying the shame of that wrongdoing ever since. She said they had a very good reason to get rid of him. The man resembles a Nightmare Creature and lost most of his humanity.[9]

She knew about what happened to Mordret and regretted that she turned a blind eye to it.[3]

History

Trivia

  • She plants vegetables while being watched and guided by Roan.[13]
  • She doesn't serve Valor directly but her clan was allied to the rulers of Bastion, which kind of makes White Feather a vassal clan.[13]
  • According to Sunny, Sky Tide did not even blink when faced with Kai's smile, which was enough to make a crowd of women feint.[14]
  • She warned Sunny to be careful about strictly following the rules while in Night Temple.[14]
  • According to Cassie, Tyris is not the only saint on Chained Isles. There was another one stationed at the Night Temple, Saint Cormac.[15]
  • She had always a stern but strong presence. However, everyone appeared to treat her with more respect as she was a critical strategic asset in the war.[16]
  • In Chapter 1849, she held the veil of clouds together in Godgrave to protect the Sword Army from being annihilated by its radiant white sky.
  • The griffin Echo she gifted her husband was part of her Aspect Legacy. The noble beast had reached Transcendence and served as a protector of their daughter, Telle.[17]
  • Her power over winds and clouds made her one of the most valuable people in Godgrave.[18]
  • In Chapter 2824, she appeared as one of Asterion's Thralls.
  • Tyris was one of the few Saints of the Human Domain who knew that Sunny was still alive.[19]
Sunny did not originally intend to reveal that he was still alive to Tyris. He had deliberately kept the fact of his continuous existence a secret from both Tyris and Roan, believing there was simply no practical reason for them to know that the Lord of Shadows still walked the world. However, after Tyris investigated the Awakened who had accompanied her daughter into a Nightmare Gate, she became the first person to uncover the existence of the Shadow Clan. This discovery forced Sunny to reveal himself when he rushed to rescue one of his agents from Sky Tide's interrogation, resulting in an unexpected reunion and prompting the Shadow Clan to rework its entirely covert procedures.[19]
