Tessai was the Head of the Castle's Guards and one of Gunlaug's most trusted lieutenants. He was presumably the oldest sleeper in the Forgotten Shore and an inhabitant of the Dark City.[1]

Appearance

He was described as a morose giant.[1]

Personality

He was described as a ferocious fighter and a ruthless commander.[1]

Aspect, Ability, & Flaw

His powerful Aspect Ability was tied to cold and ice. It allowed him to both make his skin hard as stone and debilitate his enemies, turning their movements slow and stiff. He is considered to be as formidable as Gemma. His ability can counter Nephis's flames to a large degree.[2]

He can turn his skin slightly blue when an invisible icy barrier encased it and also make the room colder, with tiny snowflakes dancing in the beams of light.[3]

Trivia

  • The largest and strongest faction, one with the most fighters and most Memories to arm them, was formed by the alliance between him and the leader of Handmaidens, Seishan.[2]
  • Kido was killed by him.[4]
