Shadow Lord was one of the Chain Lords who died prior to the start of second nightmare.^[1]^[2]

Appearance

In one of Nightmare's dreams, Sunny had become the Shadow Lord. His hand was clad in a glove of black silk. ^[2]

Personality

He had been cunning and fearless, valiant and unrelenting, full of faith and hope.^[2]

Background

He had been a hero once, battling the remnants of the Corruption across the mortal realms. His triumphs and his victories at the dawn of the Age of Heroes were depicted on the ancient stone walls of his castle, etched into the annals of history.^[2]

He had been entrusted with the glass knife by the Lord of Light which he then gave to his servant, a towering demon with pale grey skin, four arms, and twisting horns. He commanded the demon to take the glass knife to the Temple of the Chalice and give it to the War Maiden.^[2]

He had stolen the ember knife which contained his fate from one of the brothers, the Sun Prince, and used it to end his own life.^[3]^[2]

Trivia

He was the original master of the Shadowspawn and Nightmare (Black Steed).^[2]^[4]^[5]
