Warden · Shadow Slave · Wiki

Warden of Valor was the founder of Valor Clan.^[1]

Appearance

According to Song Jiwon, Warden of Valor appeared to have a single expression, but he was not that bad, but rather stiff.^[1]

He was a tall young man with handsome features, dark hair, steely grey eyes, and a charismatic smile. His face was perfectly clean, and he was wearing a polished suit of knightly armor that seemed as impenetrable as a tank.^[6]

Personality

Warden had been a fearsome warrior and benevolent leader with a great and clear vision, and even his enemies had not questioned his nobility or formidable intellect. Despite his greatness, Warden had not been perfect as evident how he had not been treating his children, especially Anvil, right. Warden had approached their education with his usual level of seriousness particularly since they had lost their mother young.^[7]

According to Jest, he appeared to have no sense of humor.^[6]

Aspect, Abilities & Flaw

His Aspect allowed him to craft all kinds of things. In fact, in Chapter 2148, he had fashioned a set of clothes for Jest, as well as a proper wooden spear, a bow, and a quiver of arrows. His ability to craft things had earned him more respect and reputation than his armor, his sword, and his uncanny ability to kill monsters.^[8]

Background

Orum's Memories

In Chapter 1931, Orum met Warden in a grand celebration in honor of Immortal Flame, who has achieved the impossible by conquering the Second Nightmare.

In Chapter 1934, Orum approached Warden and offered to serve as an instructor at the Academy to help guide the next generation in the opening ceremony of the Awakened Academy.

In Chapter 1944, it was mentioned that many First Generation Awakened, including Warden of Valor, died while attempting to conquer the Third Nightmare.

Ending

Warden had secretly planned to challenge the Third Nightmare with Jest's wife but was discovered by him. He chose to challenge the Third Nightmare with Jest's wife for several reasons. Both Jest and his wife had been part of the initial group that had conquered Bastion with Warden and had been among his most loyal and powerful followers. Additionally, both of them had been Masters, but Jest's wife had wielded a much more destructive Aspect, making her a valuable asset in the battle against the Nightmare.^[3]

Warden had also chosen to leave Jest behind because he had not been in the best shape and because there was no telling how long the Third Nightmare would take. With Jest's son being fifteen, Warden had believed that at least one of his parents should be with him if the Spell called. Furthermore, Jest had played an integral role in building the world Warden had envisioned, and someone trustworthy had been needed to keep it all from falling apart in his absence. Lastly, Warden had wanted someone to watch over Anvil and Madoc, as despite being Awakened, they had still needed protection in a world full of sharks.^[3]

Jest, though bitter, accepted the decision. Warden departed with his most powerful warriors, including Jests wife. None of them returned, marking the tragic end of the legendary Warden of Valor.^[3]

Trivia

During the announcement of the formation of the United Human Government, Warden of Valor was alongside Immortal Flame and Nightwalker.^[1]
After the establishment of UHG, the families of Immortal Flame and the Warden were an exclusive club due to the numerous sycophants who sought their favor, often with little sincerity.^[9]
In Chapter 2148, it was mentioned that he left his pregnant wife alone in the real world.
He lost his wife during the First Gate Crisis, a catastrophic event where Nightmare Gates began appearing on Earth.^[7] It was a sensitive topic for him.^[3]
