He is a member of the First Generation, had endured the darkest era of humanity with great tenacity and determination. His life to his respectable age demonstrates his willpower. However, he encountered an ordeal that he would not be able to overcome: Cassie.^[1]

Despite not being a pillar of humanity, he was a wealthy man with a high rank in the controversial citizenship system established by the government, providing security for his sister and her children.^[6]

He never been a father himself but was actively involved in raising his niece and nephews. Despite most people's unawareness, he was high enough in the hierarchy of humanity to have a good rapport with the United Human Government (UHG).^[7]

Trivia

Orum conquered his own Citadel, wishing to build a livelihood for himself and his family.^[8]
When Orum's niece turned sixteen, she had conquered her First Nightmare, which made him back at the Academy to help prepare her for the winter solstice.^[4]
It was implied in Chapter 1942, that Helie and Orum are family. Helie is Orum's niece.
