Privacy policy

Novelori is operated by Shamil Burashev. You can read available chapters without an account. For privacy questions, access to your account data, or a deletion request, contact shburashev@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify that the account belongs to you before acting on a request.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, email verification status and profile image when available. We use these to create and identify your Novelori account, maintain your session and apply account limits. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Drive or your contacts.

Account records and provider connections are stored in our database. Authentication tokens are stored encrypted. Session cookies keep you signed in for up to 30 days; signing out revokes the current session. You can also remove Novelori’s access in your Google account. Removing Google access does not itself delete your Novelori account.

Reading preferences and technical data

Your reading position and reader preferences are saved in your browser. They are not currently synchronized through your account. Clearing browser storage removes these local preferences. Necessary cookies also support language, theme, sessions and guest limits.

Our server receives technical request data, including your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the service. Account and rate-limit records use a keyed hash of an address where implemented. Technical logs and backups may retain information needed to operate, restore and secure the service.

Audience measurement

Public reading pages use Yandex Metrica to measure visits, page views, referral sources, devices, countries and return visits. Metrica may use cookies and process technical data under Yandex’s privacy policy. Novelori does not send account email addresses, authentication tokens or chapter text as analytics events. Session replay and form recording are disabled. Account and operator pages do not load Metrica.

Translation and service providers

When chapter translation is enabled, the chapter text and relevant glossary may be sent through OpenRouter to the configured language-model provider. Account email addresses and Google credentials are not part of translation requests. Public automatic translation is currently paused.

Hosting, authentication and analytics providers process the data needed for their services, potentially in different countries. We do not sell Google account data or use it for advertising profiles.

Retention and your choices

Account data is kept while the account is maintained. You can request deletion using the contact address above. Backups and security records can persist beyond a request until their retention cycles expire; we do not promise immediate removal from every backup. Browser privacy settings and content blockers can limit analytics without preventing access to available chapters.
