Seishan · Shadow Slave · Wiki

Seishan is the former lieutenant of the Bright Lord Gunlaug and leader of the handmaidens.^[5]^[6] She is one the adopted daughters of Ki Song.^[7]^[6]

Appearance

Debut - Dream Realm

Seishan is a strikingly and exquisitely beautiful woman.^[5]^[8] She was wearing a simple, but strangely regal dress, its velvet the color of red wine. There was an intricate silver necklace resting on her chest that accentuated her supple figure and two bracelets on her wrists. Her most striking feature, however, was not her grace and not her beauty, but her skin. It was grey like stormy clouds, smooth like silk, and devoid of any imperfections.^[8] Her teeth were perfectly even, pearly, and spotlessly white.^[7]

Just like Nephis, she was one of those whose appearance had been changed by their Aspect. But in her case, that change was far more pronounced. It gave her an exotic and tantalizing, but outwardly inhuman look. Her beauty was of the kind that put both longing and fear in a person's heart.^[8]

Awakened - Waking World

The young woman seemed to be in her mid-twenties, but possessed elegance and grace that spoke of strange maturity. She was exquisitely beautiful, with a supple figure and flawless skin. The beauty was wearing a stylish red dress and a black leather jacket. A few tasteful pieces of jewelry adorned her fingers and delicate neck.

— Description,
Chapter 777 Blind Date

She wears makeup to hide her complexion.^[9] She also showed up in the Valor clan ball wearing a dazzling dress the color of red wine. She was graceful and elegant, with a supple figure and full, scarlet lips. Her most striking feature was her skin which was grey like stormy clouds, smooth like silk, and devoid of any imperfections.^[10]

Ascended - Waking World

Becoming a Master, Seishan's exotic beauty was even more striking. Hers was a different kind of beauty. It was poised, reserved, graceful, and exquisite. She was one of the Awakened whose appearance had been changed by their Aspect - her skin was of a strange grey color, which made her look both inhuman and riveting.^[11]

However, one had to remember her monstrous face, her transformation into a hideous creature during the Siege of the Crimson Spire, and what her victims looked like after being drained of blood.^[11]

She is a striking woman with strange, beautiful grey skin and tantalizing grace, an embodiment of nobility and regal poise. Her beauty was breathtaking and seemed both inhuman and riveting, but most of all mysterious.^[12]

She looked subtly inhuman because of her silken grey skin.^[13]

Supreme

In Chapter 3144, in the gathering of demigods, Seishan is described as a woman of exotic and riveting beauty, wearing a darkly crimson dress. Her supple skin is grey like stormy clouds, smooth like silk, and devoid of any imperfections, giving her an exotic and tantalizing, but outwardly inhuman look. She is poised, reserved, graceful, and exquisite, like the embodiment of nobility and regal elegance. Her inhuman beauty inspires both longing and fear, while her presence makes those who look at her feel soothed and at ease.

Personality

As the mysterious leader of the Handmaidens, she was cold, inexorable, reserved, and elegant, but no less frightening.^[8] Her striking beauty, exotic looks, and the aura of mystery that surrounded her were just as compelling as ever. Beneath her exquisite beauty, is her true nature which is frightening and makes it impossible for Sunny to remain unaffected.^[6]

Aspect, Abilities, & Flaw

Show/Hide Aspect Abilities

Received in	Ability	Chapter Mentioned	Status	Aspect Abilities
First Awakening (After First Nightmare)	Dormant (Sleeper)	322	Active	She was able to sense Sunny's shadow and get close to Sunny without alerting either him or his shadow.^[5]^[7] She has a transformation ability that she used during the siege.^[14] This was verified in her POV in Chapter 1924, she could transform into a monster as a Sleeper. There was a subtle change to her body that seemed as though she grew taller, her limbs elongating, her spine twisting. Her smooth grey skin became like that of a shark, and her eyes rolled back, revealing a second pair of pupils, these ones vertical and surrounded by a sea of red. Her jaw unhinged, revealing several rows of terrible fangs.^[14]
Awakening (After first escape from Dream Realm)	Awakened (Awakened)	360	Active	Her Awakened Ability causes her enemies to bleed profusely from multiple orifices, including the mouth, nose, and eyes. It is powerful but requires time to take effect, especially against strong opponents. A notable aspect of her Ability is the challenge of controlling its area of effect to ensure her allies are not harmed alongside her enemies.^[15]
Ascension (After Second Nightmare)	Ascended (Master)	1102	Active	Her Ascended Ability grants her a scaling augmentation in power, growing stronger the more blood surrounds her. Still, at the same time, the intoxicating smell of blood was driving her mad. The presence of blood, especially from powerful enemies like a Great abomination, infuses her with a furious, intense energy that significantly enhances her strength and speed.^[15]
Transcendance (After Third Nightmare)	Transcendent (Saint)	1603	Active	Upon attaining Transcendence, she gained the ability to transform others, enhancing their strength which could enhance her power in turn.^[15] As a Supreme, her ability to transform people had grown more potent.^[16]
Supremacy (After Fourth Nightmare)	Supreme (Sovereign)	3143	Active	Seishan's Aspect Abilities had grown more potent or evolved.^[17] The core of her Supreme Ability was her unique Transcendent Ability, which allowed her to transform others instead of herself. Her blood could infuse others, granting them an empowering transformation known as the Blood Blessing. The Blood Sisters gained tremendously increased power from Seishan's augmentation, as well as access to lesser versions of her other Aspect Abilities, especially the ability to grow even stronger by spilling blood.^[17] Domain The people who received Seishan's Blood Blessing could now bestow it upon others, creating a hierarchical structure in which each next generation received a weaker version of the power, with seemingly no discovered limit. Seishan could naturally expand her Domain by bestowing her Blood Blessing to chosen champions and having those champions spread it further. The more people they took into the fold, the more spirit essence she would draw from them, and the more fearsome her Will would become.^[17] She could also expand her Domain by controlling Citadels, which was a far easier and more efficient path. Those who received her blessing also inherited a lesser version of her powers and seemingly a fraction of her Flaw.^[17]

Background

She was not a true descendant of the great clan Song. However, she had been raised and cared for by the Clan Leader herself. As such, she considered it her duty and ardent wish to return to the real world and repay her debt.^[7]

Seishan was not much younger than Beastmaster. She had spent a decade on the Forgotten Shore, battling the horrors of the Dream Realm, unlike most Transcendents.^[20]

The Song sisters spent most of their childhood in the Jade Palace. Most of them had been anchored to the palace as Awakened after surviving the First Nightmare, and the rest would return each year for several months until the Spell called them.^[21] (See also: Song sisters)

History

She was the last of the seven Transcendent princesses to become a Saint. Despite being the last, she was not weaker or younger than the others. After spending almost ten years as a Sleeper on the Forgotten Shore, she attained Transcendence faster than the others. The rest of the queen's daughters treated her with respect. Especially those who were still Masters.^[22]

Fourth Nightmare
