Valor Clan

This Great Clan was renowned not only for its knights. It was also famous for its forgers. Members of the Valor family often received Aspects tied to forging and creation. Some of them could even create Memories, tailor-made for destroying Nightmare Creatures and conquering the dangerous expanses of the Dream Realm.^[7]

The Valor bloodline is associated with unsealing Aspects related to craftsmanship, invention, and mirrors. This connection to mirrors explains the replication abilities commonly found among Forgers. However, Spellsmiths, who also belong to the Valor bloodline, do not merely copy; instead, they focus on improving existing things rather than replicating enchantments.^[8]

• Forgemasters (Enchanters of Valor)
• Seneschal - a high-ranking adviser, second only to the Forgemasters among non-combatant specialists of the great clan.^[14]

Clan Valor forgemasters could create Memories and Echoes, but the process was long and required precious resources, making only a few artificial Echoes in existence. All of those artificial echoes belong to the most valued members of the clan.^[17]

• Night Temple

For a time, the allies and vassals of Clan Valor used to conquer one lesser Citadel after another, expanding human territory far into the north. But their expansion in that direction stalled because they encountered Hollow Mountains.^[5]

• The clan still has ambitions of exploring Hollow Mountains even though it was designated as a Death Zone. Perhaps that is why Night Temple exists and a Saint is stationed there.^[18]
• Clan Valor had inherited the lineage of War God.^[19]
• There are originally twelve Saints who swore loyalty to the Great Clan Valor.^[20]
  • It became eleven after Cormac was killed.^[21][20]
  • One of their Saint was reported dead in the Dream Realm, while heroically defending a Citadel from some vicious Nightmare Creature.^[22]
  • In Chapter 1005, another of Valor's Saints was killed.
  • In Chapter 1203, Madoc was killed.
• The representatives of the Great Clan Valor were proficient in using runic sorcery back in the Night Temple.^[23]
• All Valor Awakened were too serious and full of ardent devotion.^[24]
• Those of the Valor bloodline - Anvil and his children, at least - carried the lineage of War God in their veins which was confirmed by Cassie.^[25]
• They are famed for their battle prowess which seem attributed with the swords bestowed by their Sovereign.^[26]
• The Great Clan Valor did not show as much sincerity towards its adopted daughter as Morgan did.^[27]
• Altering Memories granted to Awakened by the Spell was a rare skill even among enchanters of Valor.^[28]
• The public believed that Saints of Valor were made from tougher steel, had a longer history, and had accomplished more incredible feats.^[29]
• Sunny believed that Valor may have a method to destroy or imprison Mordret, as he is nearly immortal. However, this boon could become a curse, as those who cannot die risk eternal torment.^[30]
• Valor knew runic sorcery and also able to create Echoes. They closely guarded the secrets of their craft so not just anyone can meet the forgemasters.^[31]
• The Legacies from the vassal clans had always been less loyal to the throne than the members and retainers of Clan Valor were, but still, they were sufficiently steadfast and devoted to the cause. More importantly, they simply had no choice but to be loyal because no one could defeat a Sovereign.^[32]
