Ray is one of the Sleepers sent by the Nightmare Spell to the Godgrave. Onyx Saint brought him to the Nameless Temple.^[5]

Appearance

A young, dirty youth, covered in mud and blood, wore torn armor that seemed a Dormant Memory, his body riddled with deep lesions.^[5] Despite seeing the dirty young man, Sunny couldn't sense him, there was no scent, presence, or shadow he could perceive.^[1]

In Chapter 1779, he is a young man in leather armor.

His Dormant Ability was able to deceive a Saint's senses.^[1] He could hide his presence and turn invisible.^[6] Ray's Dormant Aspect Ability does not grant him invisibility, but it makes him hard to notice. His presence becomes very subtle, causing both people and Nightmare Creatures to pay little attention to him. This makes him especially suited for stealth operations and silent takedowns. However, there is a limit to this ability—if he takes someone down and is not cautious, others may not notice him, but they will notice the sudden absence or fall of their comrade, particularly since his targets do not share the same power.^[7]

His Awakened Ability allows him to dissolve into the air, without sound, smell, or anything. It was as if he had never existed at all.^[8] His Awakened Aspect Ability grants him invisibility, although it comes with certain limitations. Unlike his Dormant Ability, which merely reduces his presence, his Awakened power allows him to vanish completely from sight.^[7]
Ascension (After Second Nightmare)	Ascended (Master)	3005, 3006^(Revealed)	Active	His Ascended Ability expanded upon his previous powers of concealment. His Dormant Ability made him difficult to notice, while his Awakened Ability rendered him invisible and imperceptible. Upon becoming Ascended, Ray gained the ability to extend these qualities to other objects and living beings. He could apply his Dormant Ability to something as large as a building, making it so that people would fail to notice it even if they passed by it repeatedly. He could also conceal entire groups, such as making the whole cohort invisible, although doing so consumed essence at a much greater rate. The amount of essence required depended not only on the size or nature of what he was concealing, but also on who he was trying to hide it from. It was an ability with incredible level of utility.^[9]

History

He is one of the Sleepers sent by the Nightmare Spell to Godgrave.^[5] There were two other Sleepers with him who were hiding under a dead tree's roots in the Hollows, outside the Shadow Realm's Fragment, and inside the colossal skeleton's bones.^[1] They hid and clung to life for days. Only when their water run out that he volunteered to go out and find help.^[5]

Rain, Tamr, Ray, and Fleur were among the Awakened warriors of the Seventh Legion, led by Saint Seishan.^[10]

Trivia

Sunny became jealous of the sleeper for a moment due to him looking at Nephis.^[5]
Nephis knew the Sleeper was not a Skinwalker as her flames would have burned him instead of healing him. Her soul is immune to corruption; therefore, the flames of her soul do not tolerate it.^[1]
Sunny made a mental note to keep Ray away from women in his life.^[11]
In Chapter 1785, Ray, Fleur, and Tamar told the porters how they survived Godgrave and even mentioned who the Lord of Shadows is.
In Chapter 2274, Ray and Fleur came back from Eastern Quadrant. They are in a relationship.
Tamar intended to take Ray, Fleur, Corsair, and Telle of White Feather into a Seed (Second Nightmare).^[12] They entered the Second Nightmare in Chapter 2749.
