Winter Beast

The creature's physical body was rumored to be hidden at the heart of the blizzard, protected by hurricane winds and murderous cold. The snowstorm was not an aftereffect of the Titan's presence, but it was much as part of the Winter Beast.^[5]

The Winter Beast was a massive ice creature that was floating above the ground in its frozen kingdom. It was eerie and grotesque, unlike anything Sunny had ever seen. The creature's body was made of ice, resembling parts of a mangled body, including limbs, organs, torn intestines, broken bones, and desiccated flesh.^[6]

The ice was pale and bleak, but the Winter Beast was full of color due to numerous flowers blooming on the ice, their petals an intense azure color. The contrast between the vibrant beauty of the flowers and the appalling body beneath was striking. Vast plumes of snow drifted from the flowers, shrouding the Winter Beast in a frosty haze. The creature was both beautiful and harrowing, but mostly harrowing.^[6]

At the heart of the eerie abomination, barely visible through the ice, a small shadow was encased, which Sunny thought resembled the remains of a human being.^[6]

The Winter Beast had shown an eerie ability to control cold, snow, and wind. Its battlefield with Sky Tide was the sky above the Antarctic Center with Tyris constantly countering its dreadful power, making its true extent unknown. However, its powers had to be tremendous, considering that the mere presence of the creature was distorting communications across the entire region of the Antarctic Center.^[7]

The terrifying cold from the Corrupted Titan was too insidious. It was able to pass through all forms of defenses. As one walked deeper into the blizzard, the cold worsened. The cold felt like a natural force that made thoughts slow and frigid and flames seemed to lack heat, like predators that had lost all their teeth.^[8]

The Corrupted Titan was capable of affecting even the shadows with its power, meaning its ability is not limited to physical cold but can also affect minds. Within its snowy domain, nothing could avoid being pervaded by its power.^[8] Its influence prevents an Ascended from accessing their Dream Realm anchors.^[8][9]

It was Tyris' responsibility to defend the north where Falcon Scott located.^[10] Due to her Aspect, she can contain the Winter Beast but not kill it.^[11][12]

The Winter Beast was killed years ago. Sunny mentioned that had ripped it apart with his own two hands.^[2]

• In Chapter 1057, Winter Beast had reached Falcon Scott.
• This creature was closer to the dark sea of Forgotten Shore than it was to a simpler creature like Goliath.^[5]
• In Chapter 1656, in Sunny's flashback, he met Winter Beast again.
• The shards of mystical ice had once been the heart of the Winter Beast.^[3][13]
