Age of Heroes was the time when Corruption was prevalent across the mortal realms.[1]

It was when Noctis and the other Chain Lords were born. A time when humans were not yet dominant in the world. They had to fight against the Corrupted to conquer new lands, protect cities, and avoid extinction. This time was remembered as the Age of Heroes, as powerful champions were needed to defeat the dreadful beings.[2]

Trivia

  • The powerful transcendents born from the Age of Heroes, the Chain Lords, lived long enough to witness the golden age.[5]
  • By the Age of Heroes, humans inhabiting the World Tree branches had developed sophisticated tools and an elaborate culture, moving beyond furs and flint weapons.[6]
  • The Age of Heroes is prompted by the fall of the First Kingdom and the rise of Transcendent champions who had divine blood in their veins.[7]
