Innate Ability: [Shadow Bond].

Aspect Ability: [Shadow Control].
Aspect Ability Description: [Your shadow is more independent than most. It is an invaluable helper.][4]
He can control the movements of his shadow but can't affect the material world.[5] He can split his shadow away from himself, which splits his perception. He can perceive the world through his shadow, allowing him to see and hear things his shadow sees and hears.[6] He can also augment himself with his shadow to double his power, same with his memories and Shadow.[7][3][8] The range of Shadow Control increases as he absorbs more shadow fragments.[9]
Aspect Legacy: [Shadow Dance].
Note: Sunny's core and progression path is completely different from all Awakened.
Awakened Runes
Note: These runes were updated after the first escape from Dream Realm.
Name: Sunless.
True Name: Lost from Light.
When Sunny was trapped in a never-ending nightmare and can't remember who he was, his true name "Lost from Light" acted as an irresistible anchor that slowly pulled other things from the darkness of oblivion that shrouded his true self. Not actual memories, but far more useful things such as skills, fragments of knowledge, insights, and patterns of thought.[13]
Rank: Awakened.[14]
Sunny could now control the shadow essence by instinct.[14] Now, that he's Awakened he won't receive shadow fragments from killing Dormant creatures. Slaying an Awakened Beast, he will now get one fragment instead of two and receive two by slaying a Fallen Beast instead of four. While Dormant creatures did not bring him any shadow fragments, they did bring him Memories.[15]
Class: Monster → Demon → Devil.
Shadow Cores: [2/7][16] → [3/7][17] → [4/7].[18]

Innate Ability: [Shadow Bond].
Ability Description: (Refer to Dreamer Runes)
Master: Changing Star.
This ability is now inactive (gray and lifeless) due to Sunny having a master.[16] A divine shadow could only have one master, as long the master remained alive, nobody would be able to use his True Name.[19] He still kept his True Name a secret for one simple reason: he was not sure what would happen if Nephis died.[19]
- First, his Aspect described him as a divine shadow that had lost its master, implying that he may lose another one and still live.[19]
- Second, the runes of the Shadow Bond had turned grey and lifeless, but they had not vanished.[19]
Aspect Abilities: [Shadow Control], [Shadow Step]
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Control].
Ability Description: (Refer to Dreamer Runes)
When the shadows left the range of Shadow Control, the connection Sunny shared with them grew faint. He lost the ability to perceive them, and the world through them but he can still feel their existence. The current range of Shadow Control is about four kilometers.[20]
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Step].
Ability Description: [You can move freely between shadows, traveling from one to another in an instant.][14]
It is the ability to travel between shadows. He could enter a shadow that was large enough to encompass his body and instantly appear from another. The distance of the jump was even smaller than the range of his Shadow Sense, around a dozen meters. But it can increase as he absorbs more shadow fragments. He was also able to travel between his own shadows no matter how far apart they were. He could dive into the shadows becoming incorporeal. Making him completely undetectable by means of sight, hearing, and smell. It also allowed him to move with incredible speed through any uninterrupted shadow, no matter how long and vast it was. In this state, he was invulnerable to physical attacks, but also unable to perform physical attacks. Shadow Step required him to expend essence. The more distance he covered with a jump and the more time he spent as an incorporeal shadow, the more essence he would have to consume.[21] There was a small limit on the weight of the things he could pull with himself into the shadows and could only do so with inanimate objects.[22]
When he conducted experiments with Shadow Step, he learned that once the shadows separated from him, they would always try to find their way back to their master, somehow sensing where he was.[23]
Aspect Legacy: [Shadow Dance].
Flaw: [Clear Conscience].
Flaw Description: (Refer to Dreamer Runes)
Gateway of Forgotten Shore had been destroyed.[24][21] Sunny is currently anchored to one of the conquered gateways, turned citadel, on Chained Isles.[25]
Ascended Runes
Note: These runes were updated after Second Nightmare.
Name: Sunless.
True Name: Lost from Light.
Rank: Ascended.[26]
Class: Devil → Tyrant → Terror.
Shadow Cores: [4/7][18] → [5/7][29] → [6/7].[30]
Shadow Fragments: (Refer to Sunny's Progression).
Sunny is unique among the Awakened due to his status as a shadow. He absorbed shadow fragments directly from those who died by his blade, unlike most of his peers. This situation had drawbacks, as killing creatures weaker than him was useless. He also did not receive a portion of the soul fragments his enemy had accumulated when killing other Awakened. The difference in Ranks also played a role.[30]
The portion of the murdered Awakened's soul fragments could be zero if inexperienced or surpass a hundred if fully saturated. If a Transcendent soul core was fully saturated, a Master like him would have received at least two hundred soul fragments.[30]
Memories: (Refer to Sunny's Memories).
Echoes: (Refer to Sunny's Echoes).
Shadows: (Refer to Sunny's Shadows).
Attributes: (Refer to Sunny's Attributes).
Aspect: [Shadow Slave].
Aspect Rank: Divine.

Innate Ability: [Shadow Bond].
Ability Description: (Refer to Dreamer Runes)
Master: Changing Star.
Extend of Master's Order:
In order for Shadow Bond to compel Sunny to action or inaction, he had to be able to execute the master's command. So if the master wanted to bring the moon to them, he would be forced try his best. Though ordering Sunny to survive won't magically restore his body or heal his wounds.[31]
Other Functions:
Beyond its main function, it allowed Sunny to peer into some of Changing Star's secrets. However, she was able to learn a lot of his as well.[32][33] Aside from that, he and his master can augment each other. Combined with his might as a Master, his cores, and the subtle but consequential physical enhancement he received from Blood Weave, he had become monstrously strong. But in reality, the effect was even greater. The shadows and brilliant light seemed to resonate with each other, making the sum greater than its parts. When he turned into a silhouette with Nephis' augmentation, he looked like an abyssal spirit of the starlit void and felt powerful enough to face a Saint in a fight.[34]
Experimenting with the application of their unnatural bond, they have discovered a lot:
- Both Sunny and Nephis could be enhanced by the white flames and the shadows. All of this might could be concentrated on one person, or shared between them in any proportion they chose. Mixing any light into the shadows or even one shadow into the radiant light made the end result more powerful.[34]
- The same augmentation could be done to their Memories, Shadows, and Echoes.[34]
- For example, pouring all of their power into the Cruel Sight made it somewhere around fifteen times deadlier. This scale of enhancement went well beyond the confines of its Rank, making the spear as powerful as a Transcendent weapon. It was the same if applied to armor.[34]
- Augmentation for memories is a bit wasteful because memories had no souls and as such, part of Changing Star's flames that made a person's soul more active and resilient was wasted on them. However, it did affect Shadows and Echoes. It was same augmentation as Sunny experienced.[34]
- Each of them bores a Divine Aspect and each was immensely powerful when compared to other Ascended. When two bearers of Divine Aspect combine their power, what they could do is scary indeed.[34]
- Sunny can pull Nephis with him into Shadow Step.[35]
- Sunny couldn't bring other living things through the shadows, but his Aspect had already shown that it treated Nephis as an extension of him in certain instances, or more accurately, Sunny as an extension of Nephis. They were connected by Shadow Bond, which meant that their souls were bound together.[35]
Shadow Bond made it so that their souls were strangely considered to be two parts of a single whole, at least when applied to the function of their Aspects.[36]
Aspect Abilities: [Shadow Control], [Shadow Step], [Shadow Manifestation].
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Control].
Ability Description: [Your shadows are more independent than most, and are invaluable helpers. All shadows respect your authority.][26]
This Aspect Ability evolved after his ascension. Due to the authority of his attribute [Master of Shadows], he can now command natural shadows to move and change shapes according to his will.[26] He could only manipulate wild shadows (cast by inanimate objects) with Shadow Control. The deeper and older the shadow, the more concentration was required to command it. When commanding distant shadows, he also felt more strain. His command range was nearly ten kilometers long. On the other hand, his shadow sense didn't usually go quite that far unless they were his own shadows.[37]
In Chapter 857, the range of Shadow Control exceeded a dozen kilometers.
He was long used to perceiving and comprehending the world from several different viewpoints, requiring him to sort of split his consciousness into multiple streams to control his shadows.[38]
After Sunny had five shadows, the range at which he could control them exceeded twenty kilometers.[39][40]However, he had a less extensive range of shadow sense than his vision.[40]
As an Ascended Terror, Sunny could control his shadows around twenty-four kilometers.[41]
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Step].
Ability Description: (Refer to Awakened Runes)
Aspect Ability: [Shadow Manifestation].
Ability Description: [You can manifest shadows as tangible objects].
The fundamental function of this ability is to allow him to turn shadows tangible. With his authority over all shadows, not only his own, but he could also manipulate their shape and even make them move according to his will. Shadow Manifestation, unlike Shadow Control, required him to expend essence. The shadows would remain visible as long as he continued to sustain them with essence and only revert back to their natural state if no essence was sustained. His essence was merged into the manifested shadows, giving them its characteristics. In other words, they were all comparable to Memories of the Ascended Rank in terms of toughness and resilience. The more complex and condensed a shape was, the more essence it took to sustain it. Manifesting deep and ancient shadows also took a toll, although they were more powerful. Lastly, all the things he made tangible were able to move on their own, as long as their shape allowed it. Each shadow possessed its own level of strength, which was usually not too high. In addition, he could manifest his own and in doing so was much easier, better control, and required far less essence. While tangible shadows can have an effect on the real world, they can also be affected. Since his shadows (invaluable helpers) were deeply connected to his soul, it was not a very good idea if they were destroyed.[37]
Shadow Manifestation has various levels, including shaping, which was the most basic, and affecting material composition but that demanded a higher essence expenditure. Sunny can manipulate the density of the shadows, making them feel like steel or porous limestone. With effort, he can make them slippery or adhesive. In the past, these internal transformations were difficult to achieve, but after inventing Shadow Incarnation, it is easier to achieve these transformations.[42]
Weakness: He needs to be surrounded by shadows to manifest them. This was covered by [Shadow Lantern] which helps Sunny carry an infinite amount of shadows.[37]
Aspect Legacy: [Shadow Dance].
Flaw: [Clear Conscience].
Flaw Description: (Refer to Dreamer Runes)
Sunny's Flaw did not compel him to fulfill any oaths it just prevented him from making an insincere one.[43]
??[44]
[Fragment of the Shadow Realm].[44]

Description: [When Shadow made death, he has become death. Everything that Shadow swallowed died, and everything that died was swallowed by Shadow. Death was an absolute law, and thus, that which was everchanging was everchanging no more. Time was an absolute law, and thus, that which was everlasting was everlasting no more. Space was an absolute law, and thus, that which was endless was endless no more. Wielding time, space, and death, the gods defeated and bound their enemies.
However, there were those who defied even absolute laws. One of these beings broke free of the Shadow Realm after being swallowed by it, and in doing so, splintered several small fragments of it. This is one of the fragments.][44]
Dream Anchor: Tower of Longing[45][46][47]
After the Seed of Nightmare in the Ivory Tower was destroyed, a Gateway took its place. His anchor shifted, becoming linked to it.[45] (Refer to Dark Seed)
While his tether was situated in the dojo below his home.[48]
In Chapter 1055, his tether was placed on Naeve's ship.
In Chapter 1067, his tether was placed in his room inside the first siege capital he managed to see in East Antarctica.
Sunny was banished from the Nightmare Spell due to what the bird had done in the Estuary (Refer to Thieving Bird's Greed). This meant he could no longer access the tools and assistance the Spell provided to the Awakened, such as Memories and Echoes from enemies, runes, and guidance for Ascension. There were no Nightmares and shortcuts to higher ranks.[49].
It was mentioned in Chapter 2980 that after losing the Nightmare Spell, Sunny manually filled in the missing information for his runes himself. Although Cassie assisted him, their descriptions were still unable to match the level of insight provided by the Spell.
Transcendent Runes
Note: In Chapter 1592, Sunny made a crude knockoff of the Spell replacing some of its simplest functions. (Refer to Sunny's Black Bracelet)
Name: Sunless.
True Name: —
His True Name had been lost in the Tomb of Ariel, and he could not earn another while banished from fate.[50]
The Thieving Bird stole Sunny's fate, removing the countless strings of fate that bound him and leaving him free of their shackles. However, these shackles were what made Sunny the person he was and connected him to all living beings and the world.[51]
True Names were innately tied to one's fate.[51] When the Thieving Bird stole Sunny's fate[52], his existence was erased from the world, and his Fated Attribute, connection to the Nightmare Spell, and True Name were lost.[51] However, everything about his Aspect remained intact, including his Innate Ability, Shadow Bond. Shadow Bond had not disappeared, but its condition could not be fulfilled. The bond formed between him and Nephis was broken, and no one else could enslave him again. A fateless being could not earn a True Name which was innately tied to one's fate. Sunny was truly and utterly free.[51]
Rank: Transcendent.[49]
Sunny's soul, body, and the world were drastically different after he Transcended. His body was suffused with terrifying power. It was already scary enough without being augmented by his shadows. His soul was filled with a cold ocean of essence. This essence was both powerful and different from his familiar essence, which felt part of the world. The ambient essence seemed to belong to the shadows surrounding him. If in total darkness, the spirit essence flowed freely through him, replenishing the missing shadow essence in his cores. This allowed him to replenish his reserves of essence by borrowing the power of the world, as long as he was in his element.[49]
Source Element:
Sunny's source element is the "shadows *", by being surrounded by shadows enables him to absorb spirit essence.[53]
Class: Terror → Titan.
Soul Cores: [6/7][30] → [7/7].[54]
Shadow Fragments: (Refer to Sunny's Progression).
Memories: (Refer to Sunny's Memories).
Echoes: (Refer to Sunny's Echoes).
Shadows: (Refer to Sunny's Shadows).
Attributes: (Refer to Sunny's Attributes).
Aspect: [Shadow Slave].
After losing the guidance of the Spell, Sunny had to discover new ways to nurture his Shadows. He learned that creating Shadows was a part of his Aspect but feeding them Memories was a helpful tool provided by the Spell.[55]
When Sunny faced Revel and her true darkness, losing most of his powers and relying on his Shadows to prevail led to discovering a new facet of his Aspect that helped defeat Ki Song's daughter. Sunny believed that augmenting his Shadows and Memories could enhance his Shadow Dance and weaving skills. He suspected he had stumbled onto one of the cornerstones of what it meant to be a divine shadow, not following someone else's designs, as his Aspect originated from the Shadow God.[56]
Sunny's Aspect could augment himself, his Memories, his Echoes, his Shadows, and inanimate objects to a degree. He had never been able to augment other living beings, with the sole exception of Nephis whom he had been connected to by Shadow Bond before. Although Shadow Bond was no more, Sunny had a connection to Rain and Aiko, both bearing the Mark of Shadows. He could also augment his followers, but not other living beings.[57]
Aspect Rank: Divine.
Innate Ability: [Shadow Bond].
Master: —
Aspect Abilities: [Shadow Control], [Shadow Step], [Shadow Manifestation], [Shadow Incarnation].
Transformation Ability:
Activating his Transformation Ability, Sunny remained unchanged despite the significant pull on his essence. Instead, six identical versions of him, all clad in onyx armor, appeared.[58] His transformation was primarily based on his shadows, which were invaluable helpers that followed him around.[59]
The most important thing about this Transformation Ability was the manifested shadows were identical to Sunny, possessing the same body, attributes, and power. Each of the six avatars was fast, strong, and resilient as a Transcendent Terror (As Titan, he will have seven avatars and all will be Titans[54]) and could use the same abilities as Sunny, including Shadow Control, Shadow Step, and Shadow Manifestation. They could summon Sunny's Shadows, wield his Memories, weave strings of shadow essence, and form their own Shadow Shells. Theoretically, he could turn each of his avatars into a different kind of terrifying creature.[60] His avatars were not beholden to the maximum range of Shadow Control.[50]
In Chapter 1889, Sunny was able to fuse with his Shadow Saint akin to his shadows in the past.
Other Abilities:
All of Sunny's abilities had been strengthened and enhanced. Shadow Control range expanded to over forty kilometers and could extend his shadow sense just as far. He can remain in his incorporeal shadow form indefinitely and cover great distances with each Shadow Step.[50] He can now carry heavier inanimate objects and people through the shadows, but they consume a significant portion of his essence, especially those with vast and powerful souls.[61] Also, he couldn't leave them in the dark realm of shadows.[62] The depths and intricacy of what he could manifest wild shadows into had also increased tremendously.[50]
Aspect Legacy: [Shadow Dance].
Flaw: [Clear Conscience].
Sunny was not anchored in a Citadel called the Nameless Temple. It meant that he owned it and was his Citadel, which he had personally conquered and claimed. After becoming the lord of a Citadel, Sunny became territorial. No Nightmare Creature was allowed to exist in the vicinity of his temple.[50]
Sunny could seize multiple Citadels with his seven incarnations, so technically he can place seven tethers instead of one (As a Titan, he can place eight tethers - 7 shadows plus his real body[54]).[63] One of his tethers was placed in an empty street on the outskirts of NQSC, a desolate area with hardly any foot traffic.[64] He used his seventh incarnation to leave a tether far away from the heartland of Shadow Realm.[65]
Supreme Runes
Note: Sunny attained Natural Supremacy as opposed to challenging the Fourth Nightmare
Name: Sunless.
True Name: —
Rank: Supreme.[66][67] (Refer to Sunny's Process to Natural Supremacy)
After ascending to the rank of Supreme, Sunny experienced a fundamental transformation in both the nature and scale of his power. No longer merely an individual powerhouse, his strength became territorial and conceptual, embodying a domain rather than simply personal might. He likened himself to a walking kingdom, with power vast enough to overrun NQSC, the Northern Quadrant, or even the entire Earth and will grow stronger as a result.[68]
As a result of his ascension to Sovereign, Sunny's body and soul were reforged, enhancing them to a state even closer to perfection. The transformation of his soul was especially profound. One of the notable changes was the development of his Soul Sea, which now possesses the capability to store physical items—albeit limited to inanimate objects. Attempts to bring living beings into this internal space have thus far been unsuccessful.[68]
Also, he regenerates his essence faster than he can expend it with only significant actions, such as summoning powerful members of Shadow Legion for an extended period or teleporting across great distances, can momentarily deplete it. Even then, he'll be back to full power in a relatively short amount of time. He can also strike directly at the shadows of living beings.[68]
Dream Gate:
Sunny is capable of opening seven Dream Gates due to having multiple bodies instead of one.[69] His Dream Gate is a black rift in the fabric of reality, full of cold and impenetrable darkness.[70]
Class: Titan.

Supreme Runes
Name: Sunless.
True Name: Lost From Light[72]
Sunny regained his True Name after killing the Vile Thieving Bird and reclaiming the fate it had stolen. When the bird died, the boundless tapestry of broken fate disappeared, but Sunny remained holding his fate in his grasp. He felt it reintegrate into the very foundation of his being as a familiar weight that reconnected all of him into an unbroken whole, restoring the sense of being himself.
The restoration was confirmed when the Nightmare Spell recognized him again and addressed him as Lost from Light, his True Name, saying: "[Welcome back to the Nightmare Spell, Lost from Light.]".[72]
Rank: Supreme.[66][67]
Class: Titan → Terror.[73][74]
Soul Cores: [7/7][54][67] → [6/7].[73][74]
Shadow Fragments: (Refer to Sunny's Progression).
Memories: (Refer to Sunny's Memories).
Echoes: (Refer to Sunny's Echoes).
Shadows: (Refer to Sunny's Shadows).
In Sunny's runes shown in Chapter 2980, Sunny's Domain is identified in the runes as [Shadow].
Under the Shadow Domain Subjects, the Shadow Clan members are listed. The runes state that all members of the Shadow Clan are included in this list, and that focusing on a name allows Sunny to view their runes directly, similar to his own. This provides more detailed information than what he can obtain through visiting the Soul Sea of his agents or sharing perception.[75]
Below this list is the separate category Shades, which contains the Shadow Legion. All the soldiers of the Shadow Legion — myriads of them — were listed there, and that by focusing on a particular one, a short description appeared as well. Because the number of shades was immense, the Spell somehow made it appear both compact and nearly infinite, existing in both states at the same time. Sunny gradually learned how to navigate the vast field of runes with no more than a thought.[75]
Attributes: (Refer to Sunny's Attributes).
Aspect: [Shadow Slave].

Citadel: Nameless Temple, Millipede Queens' Stronghold in Burned Forest[76](Second Citadel as Supreme Rank after conquering their final nest; Lost in Chapter 2977).
Beyond shades and Memories, Sunny had also lost his Citadel from the Burned Forest. The Vile Thieving Bird had left the Nameless Temple untouched, but it took the Citadel Sunny had conquered in the Burned Forest. Its replica was gone from Sunny's Soul Sea. Not only was the replica missing, but everything about it was gone. Sunny could not even remember what it had looked like or where it was located, as if the war against the Black Millipedes had never happened at all.[77]
Attributes
Nightmare Spell Carrier
Show/Hide Attributes
| Name | Chapter Appeared | Status | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fated | 3 | Removed[59][78] | Attribute Description: "The strings of fate wrap tightly around you. Unlikely events, both good and bad, are drawn by your presence. There are those who are blessed, and there are those who are cursed… but rarely both." Explanation This gives a higher chance of improbable things occurring when Sunny is around. This is his innate Attribute[79].[80] |
| 3 | Evolved to Spark of Divinity after he consumed the Weaver's lineage memory, Drop of Ichor.[85] | Attribute Description: "You bear a faint scent of divinity, as though someone briefly touched by it once, a long time ago." Explanation
This allows passage into certain sacred places inside the Dream Realm and enhances several types of sorcery. It initially came from the nameless temple slave whose body he had taken in his First Nightmare[79].[80] | |
| 85 | Evolved to Ember of Divinity after he swallowed the alabaster phalanx.[86] | Attribute Description: "Every fire starts from a spark. Somewhere deep within your soul, a radiant spark shines with divine light." (For explanation, refer to Mark of Divinity) | |
| 450 | Evolved to Fire of Divinity after the Blood Weave devoured the drop of Shadow God's divine blood.[87] | Attribute Description: "Deep within your soul, an ember of divinity shines, almost ready to erupt into a radiant flame." (For explanation, refer to Mark of Divinity) | |
| Flame of Divinity | 551(Evolved) 552(Confirmed) |
Active | Attribute Description: "Your soul is aflame with the light of divinity."[88] Sunny's affiliation with divinity has increased. (For explanation, refer to Mark of Divinity) |
| 3 | Evolved to Master of Shadows during his Ascension.[26] | Attribute Description: "Shadows recognize you as one of their own." Explanation
This enables Sunny to see perfectly in the darkness. It allows him to blend in with the shadows preventing most awakened to detect him.[89] He is also able to sense shadows (Shadow Sense).[5][90] It initially came from the nameless temple slave whose body he had taken in his First Nightmare[79].[80] | |
| Master of Shadows | 744 | Active | Attribute Description: "Shadows recognize you as one of their champions." Explanation He could command natural shadows to move and change shapes according to his will.[26] All shadows were not the same, after all, there were young and ancient, deep and shallow, and belonged to inanimate objects and living beings. Even if Sunny was revered and respected by them, that did not guarantee that all shadows would surrender to him. They were not compelled to follow his orders; they merely chose to do so because of the status of this attribute. Only the most ancient and deep of the wild shadows seemed reluctant to answer his call. Also, his authority could not compel a shadow cast by a living being and connected to a living soul to abandon or betray its source.[37] |
| Blood Weave | 82(Acquired) 83(Named) 85(Revealed) 551(Evolved) |
Active | Attribute Description: "You have inherited a part of Weaver's forbidden lineage. Your blood has been altered and embued with odd tenacity."[85] Explanation Due to consuming the drop of ichor, Sunny's vision slightly changed, the world seemed deeper. There was a slight difference between his own perception and that of the shadow. He can see the light of divinity in humans or objects, the inner weave of the Memories and Echoes and the shadows of people and creatures he had slain in his soul sea.[91][92][93][94][95] Previously, Sunny had only been able to intuitively sense the special qualities of his Memories, with no way to learn their true nature and limits except for the trial and error approach. After consuming the ichor, the Spell decided to be helpful and incorporated Sunny's new understanding of the inner workings of Memories into its interface. The identification of tiers and enchantments was added.[92][96] No matter how much he bled, his tenacious blood refused to give up. Guided by Blood Weave, he can repair the damage done to his body to a certain extent.[95] Also, his blood was imbued with the odd quality of always being attracted back to the larger mass of it.[97]
|
| 86(Revealed) | Temporary (Removed) | "You've been mesmerized by the ancient fiend, Soul Devouring Tree, and are being turned into its thrall. Once the process is complete, there will be no escape." | |
| 341 | Temporary (Removed) | Refer to Forgotten Shore - Soul Conduit | |

Active | Attribute Description: "You have inherited a part of Weaver's forbidden lineage. Your bones have been altered and imbued with steadfast temperance. When children of the -unknown- rebelled against the gods, Weaver was the only one to refuse the call of war. Despised and hunted by both sides, they disappeared. No one knew where Weaver went and what they did… until it was too late."[100] Explanation All of his bones felt much more durable, resilient, and stronger. His joints seemed to be slightly more agile too. His teeth felt as though they could crush stones and cut through metal. The strangest change happened to his fingers. On the surface, it simply felt as though they had grown subtly more sensitive, the tactile feeling of touching things becoming deeper and richer. He was already weirdly limber due to practicing Shadow Dance, which demanded the utmost level of pliability from the practitioner's body. Now, it was even further enhanced.[100]

Evolved to Onyx Shell during his Transcension.[49][59] | Attribute Description: [In the deep darkness of the underworld, a prideful demon forged seven suits of splendid armor for his favorite creations. The intricate shells were both a boon and a test since only those worthy of his regard could unlock the mantle's true potential and bear its weight.] Attribute Traits: [Living Stone], [Feather of Truth], [Stalwart], [Underworld Armament], [Mantle], [Shell], [Bound].[102] Explanation
With the exception of [Stalwart], the first four were exactly like the enchantments of the old Mantle of the Underworld. However, the moderate protection against mind and soul attacks had been elevated to high protection. The extremely high protection against physical attacks and the high protection against elemental attacks remained the same.[102] Details After Sunny bound the relic ([Soulbound] enchantment of Mantle of the Underworld), the memory was destroyed and he received a new Attribute, [Marble Shell].[104] | |
| Onyx Shell | 1582-1583(Revealed) | Active | Note: For the effect of the attribute, refer to Marble Shell or Shell (Attribute). Explanation The Mantle was a manifestation of Onyx Shell Attribute. Its [Bound] trait was supposed to make it as strong as his soul was. The Mantle would have also risen to a new Rank since Sunny was Transcendent. It was now Onyx Mantle.[59] |
| Soul Weave | 1580(Acquired) | Active | Attribute Description: [You have inherited a part of Weaver's forbidden lineage. Your soul has been altered and imbued with stalwart potency. A lonely demon shed tears standing above a forgotten grave. A tree grew from the ground where the demon's tears fell, and from it grew a wondrous fruit.][52] Explanation His essence felt more potent and the rate at which it replenished was much faster, while his soul appeared more robust and durable, capable of withstanding significant damage and maintaining its integrity even after large parts were destroyed.[52] Details At the heart of the Estuary, an ancient tree that nestled a sarcophagus between its roots had a golden fruit hanging from its branch. The fruit was similar to the one from the sacred tree growing on the deck of the Chain Breaker which contained soul essence within.[107] After Sunny finished the divine fruit, he acquired [Soul Weave] attribute.[52] |

Explanation (Transcendent) The [Master of Shadows] had evolved into the [Lord of Shadows] during his Transcendence. Its description was "[Shadows recognize you as their ruler.]"[50] Explanation (Supreme) As a Supreme, Sunny's Attributes underwent significant upgrades. His control over shadows deepened, allowing him to now command the shadows of living beings — though only those much weaker than himself, and with difficulty, since shadows are a loyal sort.[68] He can also strike directly at the shadows of others.[68] |

Explanation |
| Fateless | 1592 | Active | Details Sunny's connection to the Nightmare Spell[49][59] and his [Fated] Attribute was gone. With [Fated] gone, the chain of Shadow Bond wrapped around his neck was gone, as well as the connection between him and Nephis. This was the reason Nephis did not recognize Sunny.[78] When the Thieving Bird stole Sunny's fate[52], his existence was erased from the world. A fateless being could not earn a True Name which was innately tied to one's fate.[51] The world obscured the hole Sunny once existed, leaving no one to remember him. Important events were replaced by a vague, abstract substitute. An inconsequential stranger or a fleeting acquaintance, their face and voice erased from memory by the passage of time. People vaguely recognized that someone had been there, side by side with them but their minds naturally wandered to other matters when they focused on these memories.[111] The same for the material traces he had left in the world. In short, not only had everyone forgotten him, but they were also unaware of having forgotten him.[111] The [Fateless] Attribute, as he calls it, is thorough.[112] Sunny tried to admit to his existence to people he knew, but they cannot remember his connection to their lost memories of him. His confessions are destined to be forgotten, just like his past. Interestingly, he can admit to being Rain's brother, as her neighbor Sunny never had, and the concept of an older brother is not connected to her memories.[113] |
| Flesh Weave | 2411 | Active |
Details Sunny undergoes a brutal and unnatural transformation as a result of the final truth (refer to Ariel's Game) entering his body. Unlike the gentle process of evolution and renewal typically experienced by Awakened when attaining a new Rank, this change is violent, agonizing and profoundly wrong. His very cells are torn apart and reassembled, altering his mortal form into something he was never meant to become — for the fourth time.[114] |
| Mind Weave | 2553 | Active |
Details Mind Weave was the fragment of Weaver's lineage that Sunny collected in the Palace of Imagination. Unlike the previous fragments, its assimilation did not cause him indescribable agony — instead, Sunny simply passed out as soon as Weaver's reflection fused with his own, remaining unconscious for two weeks.[115] |
| Curse | 2573 | Active |
Attribute Description: [Damnation!][67] Explanation The runes identified it simply as Curse, with the description "Damnation!"—a phrase Sunny had written in frustration after failing to come up with something profound.[67] |
| Spirit Weave | 2718 | Active |
Effect Spirit Weave augmented Sunny's Will, making the world feel significantly more malleable to him. It altered the inherent nature of his Will by granting it a second innate affinity, or by greatly enhancing an affinity that had already existed. Prior to this change, the primary trait of Sunny's Will was Death. Afterward, he also developed a strong connection to Fate. Sunny did not know how to use this new affinity and noted that it was paradoxical for his Will to possess a connection to Fate, as he was a fateless being.[119] Note: When Sunny got the Spirit Weave, he was still Fateless. In Chapter 2852, Sunny's Will is portrayed as more tyrannical and dauntless than that of Deathless warrior, both innately and because of Spirit Weave. Details This fragment of Weaver's lineage was hidden within the collapsing void chamber of the Palace in Eternal City. Weaver deliberately concealed the fragment in the heart of the star, using the star's blinding radiance and destructive flame as protection.[120] It took the form of an elegant scroll made of fine spider silk. Sunny confirmed its authenticity based on how his blood responded to it, recognizing it as the sixth piece of Weaver's lineage he had been searching for.[121] |

Details Sunny restored his fate by activating the [Where is my eye?] enchantment of Weaver's Mask during his final attack on the Vile Thieving Bird. This revealed the unfathomable tapestry of fate and allowed him to focus on the portion connected to the bird. Through it, he perceived the true nature of the [Fated] Attribute, seeing that most beings possessed a single string piercing their heart, representing their fate, while the bird contained myriad Strings of Fate converging on something hidden deep within its being. These countless strings were Sunny's stolen fate, forming [Fated] as a point of convergence, a nexus, a confluence of fates.[72] |
| 3105 | Immediately after inheriting Shadow Weave, the Nightmare Spell announced that Sunny had lost six Attributes before receiving a single new Attribute, [The Weave].[123] |
Shadow Weave is the seventh and final fragment of Weaver's lineage inherited by Sunny when a shadow cast by the Demon of Fate fused with his own. Unlike the previous fragments of Weaver's lineage, the inheritance caused no pain, agony, or loss of consciousness. However, it initiated a far more profound transformation, altering the very foundation of Sunny's existence as a creature of shadows. As a Divine Shadow, Shadow Weave fused with his dark existence in a uniquely powerful synergy, enhancing every aspect of his body, soul, and powers while completing the forbidden lineage of Weaver.[123] Inheritance and Transformation The inheritance of Shadow Weave triggered a complete transformation of Sunny's being. His Soul Sea became turbulent as the waters surged, devastating winds battered the seven Shadow Cores, and the golden threads of Soul Weave permeated his soul to support the process. His blood boiled, bones vibrated, muscles responded to an unknown impulse, and even his state of mind subtly shifted. His Will expanded and receded as though influenced by an unseen force. Sunny realized that two simultaneous transformations were taking place: Shadow Weave was altering his entire being, while the seventh fragment merged with the previous six to complete Weaver's forbidden lineage.[123] Abilities and Enhancements
| |
| The Weave | 3105 | Active |
Immediately after inheriting Shadow Weave, the Nightmare Spell announced that Sunny had lost seven Attributes (partial lineage attributes: Blood Weave, Bone Weave, Soul Weave, Flesh Weave, Spirit Weave, Mind Weave, Shadow Weave) before receiving a single new Attribute. [The Weave].[123] With the completion of [The Weave], all seven fragments of Weaver's lineage fused into a single whole. Sunny sensed every part of himself being tempered as each fragment grew stronger while supporting the others. Although the completion granted widespread enhancements to his body, soul, spirit, mind, and essence, Sunny regarded these improvements as merely the side effects of [The Weave] being completed, believing its true boon lay elsewhere.[124] Enhancements Physical Enhancement
Spiritual and Soul Enhancement
Mental Enhancement Purpose The Weave grants numerous boons that strengthen and temper its bearer, its defining purpose extends beyond the general enhancements shared by other Divine Lineages.[125] Each fragment of Weaver's lineage progressively develops the bearer's ability to practice Weaver's sorcery. Blood Weave grants the ability to perceive spellweaves, Bone Weave enables interaction with them, Flesh Weave increases finesse when handling essence string, and subsequent fragments continue to refine this specialization. The Nightmare Spell also contributes by providing an endless supply of Memories and Echoes to study, allowing its bearer to master the foundations of weaving through observation.[125] The purpose of these enhancements is not merely to create enchantments, but to prepare the bearer to study Weaver's own creations. While Weaver's Mask is one such creation, the primary object of study is the Nightmare Spell itself. Its vast starlit structure, seen by all Awakened between conquering a Nightmare and returning to reality, known as the Spellweave. Unlike ordinary Memories and Echoes, which are woven from essence string, the Spellweave is woven from Strings of Fate. Because the bearer of the completed Weave has already gained the ability to touch and glean knowledge from the Strings of Fate, though only in a rudimentary and perilous manner, the completed Weave logically grants a greater capacity to manipulate the Strings of Fate.[125] Effects The completed Weave does not immediately grant its bearer the ability to manipulate the Strings of Fate. Instead, it brings about a qualitative transformation of the spirit, building upon the foundation established by Spirit Weave, rather than altering the body, soul, mind, or shadow.[73] This transformation elevates the bearer's innate affinity to fate to the same profound level as their affinities to shadows and death, potentially surpassing them. As a result, Sunny becomes capable of drawing power equally from two source elements, theoretically allowing him to rule two Domains, including a potential Fate Domain.[73] The heightened affinity also greatly increases Sunny's attunement to the Strings of Fate, manifesting as a supernatural intuition that provides prophetic hints and a subliminal understanding of his surroundings. Although the destruction of fate prevents him from perceiving the future, it grants him extraordinary awareness of the past and present, allowing him to sense imminent danger and perceive information beyond his conscious understanding.[73] |

Aspect Legacy
Shadow Dance
Aspect Legacy: [Shadow Dance].[126]
Shadow Dance Description: [Once an elegant dance, now a deadly battle art. This mysterious style was created by the treacherous Lost From Light after witnessing a graceful slave dancing with her shadows. Who else could have taken something so beautiful and turned it into something so vile?]
The point of Shadow Dance was not to mirror every movement to become a literal copy. It was to understand the very essence of the enemy's style and turn it against them.[127]
Shadow Dance Mastery Level: [5/7].
- Mastery Level: [1/7]
- Succeeded in the middle of the bloody battle against Nephis.[127][21]
- Shadow: [Soul Serpent][21]
- Mastery Level: [2/7]
- Succeeded after the duel with Morgan (Fifth Annual Dream Tournament).[128]
- Memory: [Drop of Ichor].[129] (Shadow God's lineage)[130]
- Mastery Level: [3/7]
- Succeeded after the fight with Nightmare.[131]
- Memory: [Shadow Lantern].[132]
- Mastery Level: [4/7]
- Succeeded after the fight with Azure Serpent.[133][134]
- [a fragment of Shadow's Domain].[134]
- Mastery Level: [5/7]
- Succeeded after Sunny assumed the complete transformation of his body, mind, and spirit into a Stone Saint.[135]
- Note: No relic earned due not being an carrier of Nightmare Spell in Chapter 2404.
- In Chapter 2980, after regaining his fate, Sunny confirmed through his runes that he had mastered the Fifth Step of Shadow Dance, but had not yet mastered the Sixth Step. Mastering a step of Shadow Dance grants a corresponding Legacy Relic; however, Sunny's Fifth Step Legacy Relic was missing. The runes indicated that the relic had already been "claimed", but it was no longer in his possession because the Vile Thieving Bird had stolen it along with his other treasures.

Domain
Nascent Domain (Transcendent)
Sunny's nascent Domain was defined by its crushing weight and profound connection to his source element—a reflection of his ability to impose his will upon the world. Eurys recognized that Sunny had already fully formed his nascent Domain, even if he had not realized it himself.[136]
The foundation of his Domain had been built through a series of defining moments:[136]
- Claiming a Citadel and establishing his rule over Godgrave, asserting his authority.[50][136]
- Subjugating Great Nightmare Creatures and forging his Transcendent Battle Art.[137][136]
- Learning from the King of Swords and observing Rain's natural Awakening, refining his understanding of power.
- Mastering weaving and forging the Blessing, which taught him to wield his will with precision.[136]
These steps had brought him to the precipice of Supremacy, shaping his nascent Domain into something overwhelming and undeniable. However, despite its strength, he had not yet taken the final step to ignite all his attainments and fully claim his throne.[136]
Domain (Supreme)
- Main article: Shadow Legion
Note: In Chapter 2980, Sunny's Domain had been named by the Spell as [Shadow].
Upon coming back to life, Sunny's nascent Domain manifests. This Domain is composed of the legion of shadows (shadows inside his Soul Sea) he had unknowingly been building throughout his journey. These shadows, now under his control, are his Domain, and they are symbolic of his newfound power and authority.[66]
Unlike most Supremes who draw power from external Citadels and the faith of followers, Sunny is unique because:[110]
- He carries his Domain within his soul, making it self-contained.[110]
- His Domain is always with him, unlike other Supremes who must remain within their established Domains for full power.[110]
- He did not require Citadels to strengthen his Domain, nor did he rely on followers or the faith of the people. Instead, his power grew through a singular method: collecting the shadows of living beings by slaying them.[110]
Upon reaching Supremacy, each of his shadows has grown immeasurably deep and powerful, resembling the infinite expanse of an ocean. From within his soul, Sunny can open a metaphysical gate—described as leading to the "tranquil depths of his lightless soul"—through which his shadow army emerges into the real world. This army consists of the shadows of countless Nightmare Creatures and powerful individuals he has defeated across various realms and timelines. Once unleashed, they manifest physically, flowing across the battlefield in eerie silence. These shadows are not static; Sunny's Domain is self-sustaining and recursive—each enemy slain by his shadows adds a new shadow to the dark lake within his soul, which then joins the fight, effectively creating a growing, regenerative force. At the head of this legion Shadow Saint, serving as his general.[138]
His Domain functions not only as a reservoir of essence but also as a living battlefield that merges the spiritual and physical realms, making him a Sovereign whose authority mirrors the inevitability and finality of death itself.[138]
Shadow Clan
- Main article: Shadow Clan
Note: In Chapter 2980, Sunny had been looking at his actual Spell Runes by Nightmare Spell.
Under Shadow Domain Subjects, the Shadow Clan members are listed and that focusing on a name allows Sunny to view their runes directly, similar to his own. This provides more detailed information than what he can obtain through visiting the Soul Sea of his agents or sharing perception.[75]
Shades
- Main article: Shades
Note: In Chapter 2980, Sunny had been looking at his actual Spell Runes by Nightmare Spell.
Under Shades, which contains all the soldiers of the Shadow Legion, and that by focusing on a particular one, a short description appeared as well. Because the number of shades was immense, the Spell somehow made it appear both compact and nearly infinite, existing in both states at the same time. Sunny gradually learned how to navigate the vast field of runes with no more than a thought.[75]
Shadow Weave
- Main article: Shadow Weave
Shadow Weave expanded Sunny's understanding of his Domain. He sensed an even deeper level of mastery beyond simply transforming shades into Shadows. Among the possibilities he considered were rebuilding Shadow Cores by consuming shades, converting shades into soul essence as Shadow God once had, strengthening powerful shades by feeding them weaker ones, and discovering entirely new methods of manipulating them. Although these possibilities remained unexplored, Sunny recognized that Shadow Weave had opened the threshold to an entirely new horizon of mastery over his Domain.[123]
