[Shadow Slave] is the name of Sunny's Divine Rank Aspect.[1] Shadow creation was a part of Sunny's Aspect.[2] (refer to Shadow (Creature))
Note: Shadow creation refers to Shadow* - an echo transformed by Sunny or Shadow received from his Aspect Legacy or received a Shadow from killing other unique shadows. To not be confused with Sunny's invaluable shadow helper.

Origin
Sunny initially received the [Temple Slave] Aspect from the nameless temple slave whose body he inhabited during his First Nightmare[3]. This Aspect later evolved into his true form: Shadow Slave[1].[4]
As a Shadow
Sunny's existence as a Shadow is complicated and unusual. He was a mortal man who, with the help of the Nightmare Spell and a blessing from the Shadow God, became a Shadow Creature. Later, he killed himself and turned into a shadow, then once again transformed into a Shadow Creature upon attaining Supremacy. Like Slayer, he had once descended into the Shadow Realm alive. At this point, no trace of his mortal self-remained — he was entirely and truly a creature of shadows, born from the shadow of a dead man. It was suggested that this strange nature might be one of the reasons why he had received the Shadow God's blessing and become a Shadow Slave.[5]

- In Chapter 2126, Eurys told Sunny that as a Shadow Slave, he wields the power of Death.
- Shadow Slaves were divine shadows of Shadow God.[6][7]
- In Chapter 2129, Eurys told Sunny that the Shadow Realm is where Shadow Serpents come after losing their masters, to follow them into death. It implied that all Shadow Slave had their own Soul Serpents as he asked why Sunny is running around without one.
- In Chapter 2853, Azarax called Sunny "Slave of Shadow" due to Shadow Slave Aspect.
