Soul Flame

Soul Flame is the flame produce by one's soul. Together with the lineage Attribute, [The Fire], granted Nephis unmatched affinity to flame and empowered her soul. As for the augmentation, a single mass of flame can be divided as one wished. She was not immune to the destructive fury of the fire and was only capable of being locked in the cyclic agony of having her flesh burned and restored without dying.^[2]

She can wrap her body in light to enhance her physical prowess and/or augment her Memory and/or summon the healing power of the white flame. During her fight with Gunlaug, she was capable to support two effects at the same time - one augmenting her sword, the other her body.^[3]

This ability evolved from her dormant ability to include soul augmentation when she ascended. It never evolved to be able to spread to other people. Her flames made a person's soul more active and resilient.^[4]

After Transcendence, her Dormant Ability to heal improved and that she can now heal at a distance.^[5]

Nephis' ability to heal wounds and empower individuals grew after attaining supremacy and the flames became much more potent, capable of healing and empowering large groups, even entire armies. The healing process is rapid, with wounds disappearing quickly, and those affected by the flames experience a boost in strength and vitality. The range of her flames has expanded significantly, allowing her to simultaneously heal and empower hundreds of thousands of soldiers, even when she is not physically present.^[6]

Nephis possessed a single reservoir of Soul Flame that could be divided freely in any proportion. This flexibility allowed her to pour all of her flame into empowering herself, reserve part of it while channeling the rest into her weapon or even divide it into countless smaller portions.^[7]

Because of this adaptability, Nephis could distribute her Soul Flame augmentation beyond herself, extending it to vast numbers of individuals bound to her Domain. Theoretically, she could divide her flame into a million weaker boons and share it with a million people.^[7]

• When Sunny first used Mirror of Truth to copy Neph's Dormant Ability, Soul Flame, his flames were black because it's the flame produce from one's soul. It burns him because he lacked innate resistance to fire that Neph's lineage Attribute, [The Fire], granted.^[8]
