Article contents
Shell (Attribute) is the Attribute Sunny got from unlocking the final enchantment of Mantle of the Underworld which requires no less than twenty-one thousand defeated enemies to acquire the [Soulbound Relic] enchantment.[4][5]
Description
[In the deep darkness of the underworld, a prideful demon forged seven suits of splendid armor for his favorite creations. The intricate shells were both a boon and a test since only those worthy of his regard could unlock the mantle's true potential and bear its weight.]

Function
After Sunny bound the relic ([Soulbound] enchantment of Mantle of the Underworld), the memory was destroyed and he received a new Attribute, [Marble Shell].[6]
The Attribute had become a part of Sunny's body and could be augmented with the shadows at the same time. It would not be vulnerable to elemental, mind, and soul attacks. Additionally, there are also [Blood Weave] and [Bone Weave], with the [Living Stone] on top of it. These are all part of his defense.[7] Sunny's soul was protected by the Marble Shell.[8]
Traits
Living Stone
"This armor can repair itself while being worn."

Feather of Truth
"The weight of this armor can be changed at will."
— Enchantment Description, Chapter 378 A New Beginning |
Activating [Feather of Truth], he can make his fist heavier or make his entire body extremely light but not to the point he can float. He could potentially jump extremely high or hit extremely hard with the help of this new ability.[9]
The Shell (Attribute) had the potential to increase its attack power and lethality by making use of [Feather of Truth]. It could be applied to his entire body, making him lighter, to increase his speed and mobility, and heavier, to help him weather powerful blows. He could also weave two sides of the [Feather of Truth] together to increase his acceleration. Wearing light armor on top of the Shell would be the most optimal choice, as it would grant him a double layer of protection while not encumbering him too much.[7]
Stalwart
"This armor provides extremely high protection against physical attacks, high protection against elemental attacks, and a moderate amount of protection against mind and soul attacks."
— Enchantment Description, Chapter 378 A New Beginning |
Underworld Armament
"This armor can accommodate a Charm Memory to inherit and enhance its enchantments."

Mantle and Shell
The [Mantle] and [Shell] were connected but mutually exclusive, as they were forms the Attribute could assume. Shell was a dormant form, while the Mantle was an active form. Basically, it provided all the benefits of the Mantle of the Underworld, including access to its enchantments, albeit in a muted and weakened form.[9]
For the [Shell] trait, Sunny's skin remained soft and elastic, but when enough pressure was applied, it can become hard as stone. Basically, it is a passive resistance to all kinds of damage.[9]
Given that the Shell was a part of him, he would also be enhancing his Shell by augmenting his body with shadows. He can also use the defensive qualities of the Shell and summon an armor-type Memory on top, using both to protect himself.[9]
The [Mantle] trait activated the Attribute, making it assume the form of a full suit of armor. Sunny did not have to spend essence to summon the Mantle, as it was simply a transformation of the [Shell]. In its active form, the Attribute awakened its full power, allowing the effects of [Stalwart], [Living Stone], [Underworld Armament], and the [Feather of Truth] to reach their full potential. Unfortunately, wearing another armor-type Memory on top of the Mantle was out of the question.[9]
Bound
Trivia
- After Sunny bound the Mantle of the Underworld to his soul, using the [Soulbound Relic] enchantment, his skin appeared pretty much the same, but somehow even paler and smoother. [9] It was noticed by Roan that he seemed older, though not by his appearance.[10]
- When Onyx Mantle evolved into the Jade Mantle, it retained its black color but now had the texture and quality of black jade, enhancing his aura and possibly his defense.[3]
