Shadow Incarnation is also known as "Tangible Shadow Form".[1] Using Shadow Step, Sunny can assume the form of an incorporeal shadow, and using Shadow Manifestation, he manifests himself into a corporeal form without turning back into a human.[2]

Differences from Normal State

Because of how faithful the recreation was to the original, he felt more like himself, with the same range of motion, strength, and agility. However, there were differences:[2]

  • His perception changed, with a sharper shadow sense and less pronounced vision, and he couldn't see colors.[2]
  • He operated on a different set of principles as a manifested shadow. The recreation of a corporeal creature resembled the original, but the similarity was shallow. It lacked internal organs, a beating heart, and veins. Although it had a rough structure to its form with something similar to bones and muscles, it did not have blood flowing through its veins. Only essence pathways.[2]

Discoveries

He discovered a few things after going through the training steps of Shadow Dance and examining his corporeal shadow form.[2]

1. His corporeal shadow form was much more malleable than his human body. It could change its shape at will but required a keen understanding of its transformation for its intended outcome to be effective.[2]
Sunny could become smaller or larger, but it required practice and was limited by his Rank and soul essence capacity. Less comprehensive changes, like adding arms, claws, horns, and tails, were easier. As his knowledge of various forms and shapes grew, he could make more changes on the fly, allowing him to adapt to his surroundings.[2]
2. His corporeal shadow form, while nearly as resilient as his body, fell short due to the Weaves. Blood Weave and Bone Weave did not persist in this state, leaving him vulnerable. The Marble Shell, however, remained potent due to the [Stalwart] trait, which provided both physical and soul protection, as every attack against it was akin to a soul attack.[2]
Manifesting into the shadowspawn shell. His jet-black body was surrounded by layers of shadows, forming a towering, four-armed fiend. He felt like an integral part of the shell, with his vulnerable soul protected by its outer layers. His shadow form was still the heart and driving force of the horned creature, but it was as if he had become the fiend.[2]
Combining these two abilities to remove Shadow Shell's limitations and protect his soul from harm was a solution, but it also led to twice the speed of his essence consumption.[2]

Shapeshift

Sunny's ability to shapeshift was limited by his knowledge and experience. He can do well with smaller alterations, like adding sharp claws to his fingers or turning his teeth into wicked fangs. However, when he tried to grow wings, the result was disastrous due to his lack of knowledge about wings, their anatomy, and flight principles.[1]

He had the ability to transform into a shadow fiend without the Shadow Shell, which was an inferior solution to using ambient shadows. He can become smaller, which is easier but also limited. He can also change the aspects of his appearance, such as facial features and body type, to make it a great subterfuge tool. But all these permutations were still of a matte, jet-black color.[1]

Forms

Stone Saint

Sunny manifests into a towering being—a dark colossus standing over 200 meters tall, encased in black armor forged by the Prince of the Underworld. His body is a hybrid of flesh and stone, with a divine flame in place of a heart, ruby dust in his veins, and diamond strings as nerves, forming a magical array that channels power and life.[3]

Through this transformation, Sunny successfully inherits and internalizes several Stone Saint abilities, such as [Battle Master], [Stalwart], [Flame of Divinity], and [Underworld Armament]. Some of these powers he had previously possessed, but they now resonate differently within him—more fully integrated into his being. However, he does not become Saint herself. Each Stone Saint is a unique individual, and Sunny's version aligns with his own identity as a Supreme Titan and ruler of shadows, whereas Saint is a Transcendent Devil attuned to true darkness and nothingness.[3]
