[The Weave][1] refers to the complete divine lineage created by the Demon of Fate.[2]
Purpose
Sunny understood the true purpose of the Weaves inherited from consuming Weaver's lineage. Abilities such as Blood Weave, Bone Weave, Flesh Weave, and Mind Weave were not solely adaptations for Weaver's sorcery, but precursors to a greater function: the ability to directly interact with the Strings of Fate.[3]
[The Weave] is the completed lineage of Weaver, whose true function is not explained directly by the Nightmare Spell, which instead presents it through a cryptic conversation between two daemons. While its description reveals much surrounding its significance, it leaves its actual purpose for its bearer to discover. The Weave grants numerous boons that strengthen and temper its wielder, much like other Divine Lineages, but its defining purpose lies elsewhere.[4]
Each fragment of Weaver's lineage progressively enhances the bearer's ability to practice Weaver's sorcery: Blood Weave grants the ability to perceive spellweaves, Bone Weave allows interaction with them, Flesh Weave increases finesse when handling essence string, and other fragments continue this progression.[4]
Even the Nightmare Spell serves as part of this process by providing an endless supply of Memories and Echoes to study. Together, these aspects indicate that Weaver intended their epigone to master weaving. However, weaving enchantments itself is not presented as the ultimate goal. Rather, learning to weave serves as preparation for something greater—observing and learning from what Weaver personally wove.[4]
This includes not only Weaver's Mask but, more importantly, the Nightmare Spell itself, whose vast starlit structure known as the Spellweave. Unlike ordinary Memories and Echoes, which are woven from essence string, the Spellweave is woven from Strings of Fate. Since the bearer of the completed Weave has already gained the ability to touch and glean knowledge from the Strings of Fate, though only in a rudimentary and perilous manner, the logical implication is that The Weave grants a greater capacity to manipulate the Strings of Fate.[4]
Attribute Description
Immediately after inheriting Shadow Weave, the Nightmare Spell announced that Sunny had lost seven Attributes before receiving a single new Attribute, [The Weave].[1]
["Tell me, oh Demon of Fate," said Oblivion. "How can fate be changed?"
The Demon of Fate laughed, looking at the great tapestry of fate with wonder and fear. "Why would you want to change fate? Fate cannot be changed. Fate cannot be bargained with. Fate cannot be escaped, either, because fate does not know the distinction between the past and the future. Everything that has ever happened, is happening, and will happen is inscribed in the threads of fate, because fate is great, and there is nothing greater than fate." The Demon of Fate looked at Oblivion and said in a nebulous tone, "Mortal men are powerless in front of fate. We, the daemons, are just as powerless as mortals. Even the great gods bow their heads to fate, and those who dwell in the Void are not above it either. Fate rules all, is above all... it is a force that looms above the Flame and the Void, governing both — encompassing all of existence." The Demon of Fate smiled bitterly. "How can the future be changed if time itself is merely a weapon created by the gods, and the gods are powerless against fate? Fate cannot be changed because it doesn't know time. It exists in the flash of a single moment. Fate is not something that is happening; it is something that has already happened. It is an axiom, immutable and inalienable. How are you going to change something that has already transpired, sister? That is impossible." Hearing the Demon of Fate, Oblivion shook her head. "It is possible." The Demon of Fate scoffed and said in a tone of amusement, "What makes you so sure?" Oblivion leaned forward then and said, her voice echoing in the darkness, "The Void is everchanging, and therefore, in its endless permutations, it eventually gave birth to something unchangeable - to the Flame of Desire. That is the paradox of Chaos. Fate is no different. If it truly governs all possible events and encompasses all possible outcomes... then it will give birth to something that cannot be encompassed or governed one day. It will give birth to the paradox that will destroy it. Creating such a paradox - that is how fate can be changed." The Demon of Fate seemed appalled, "A third paradox? What kind of treacherous being can summon it into existence? That thing would have to possess the power of a great god, the curse of a daemon, and be the avatar of fate itself on top of that. Do you think I can create such an abomination, sister?" The Demon of Fate grinned, "Is that a challenge?"] — Description of [The Weave], Chapter 3106 Third Paradox |
Explanation
- Main article: Third Paradox
After reading the description of [The Weave], Sunny learned of the conversation between Weaver and Oblivion concerning the nature of fate.[5]Chapter 3106 Third Paradox</ref>
Sunny struggled to understand what it meant to be an avatar of fate, since fate possesses neither consciousness nor personhood. He instead theorized that an avatar of fate could be the manifestation or personification of fate as a force, existing as a living embodiment of inevitability whose very existence enforces fate.[5]
Sunny recalled The Nine, all of whom were Fated, before realizing that the description of the paradoxical being—a person possessing the power of a great god, the curse of a daemon, and an avatar of fate—matched his own existence. As the bearer of the [Fated] Attribute, the Shadow Slave Aspect, and [The Weave], Sunny concluded that Weaver's "paradoxical abomination" described in the Attribute referred to him.[5]
Partial Lineage Attributes
| Name | Chapter Described | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Blood Weave | 85 | "You have inherited a part of Weaver's forbidden lineage. Your blood has been altered and embued with odd tenacity."[6] Passive Abilities
|
| Bone Weave | 451 | "You have inherited a part of Weaver's forbidden lineage. Your bones have been altered and imbued with steadfast temperance. When children of the -unknown- rebelled against the gods, Weaver was the only one to refuse the call of war. Despised and hunted by both sides, they disappeared. No one knew where Weaver went and what they did… until it was too late."[16] Passive Abilities

| Flesh Weave | 1752(Named) 2411(Obtained) |
Details Flesh Weave is one of the three corporeal fragments of Weaver's legacy, fused into Sunny during a violent transformation caused by the final truth (refer to Ariel's Game).[21] The ability primarily affects Sunny's flesh — muscles, tendons, and organs — tempering and reforging them into a far more resilient and tenacious state. Despite his usual shadow form, the pain of transformation is tangible and grotesque, though notably bloodless.[21] Once fully integrated with Blood Weave and Bone Weave, Flesh Weave contributes to a synergistic transformation of Sunny's entire body. This fusion elevates him beyond human and closer to a daemon, granting enhanced regeneration, strength, speed, endurance, and sharpened senses. Even past injuries are rapidly healed, and his blood replenishes swiftly. His skin, already fortified by the Jade Mantle, is further enhanced.[21] It was mentioned in Chapter 2572 that possessing Flesh Weave, the strings of essence could not cut his fingers, so his weaving became faster and more efficient. |
| Spirit Weave | 1752(Named) 2698-2699(Discovery) 2718(Obtained) |
Effect Spirit Weave augmented Sunny's Will, making the world feel significantly more malleable to him. It altered the inherent nature of his Will by granting it a second innate affinity, or by greatly enhancing an affinity that had already existed. Prior to this change, the primary trait of Sunny's Will was Death. Afterward, he also developed a strong connection to Fate. Sunny did not know how to use this new affinity and noted that it was paradoxical for his Will to possess a connection to Fate, as he was a fateless being.[22] Note: When Sunny got the Spirit Weave, he was still Fateless.

Shadow Weave is the seventh and final fragment of Weaver's lineage inherited by Sunny when a shadow cast by the Demon of Fate fused with his own. Unlike the previous fragments of Weaver's lineage, the inheritance caused no pain, agony, or loss of consciousness. However, it initiated a far more profound transformation, altering the very foundation of Sunny's existence as a creature of shadows. As a Divine Shadow, Shadow Weave fused with his dark existence in a uniquely powerful synergy, enhancing every aspect of his body, soul, and powers while completing the forbidden lineage of Weaver.[1] Inheritance and Transformation The inheritance of Shadow Weave triggered a complete transformation of Sunny's being. His Soul Sea became turbulent as the waters surged, devastating winds battered the seven Shadow Cores, and the golden threads of Soul Weave permeated his soul to support the process. His blood boiled, bones vibrated, muscles responded to an unknown impulse, and even his state of mind subtly shifted. His Will expanded and receded as though influenced by an unseen force. Sunny realized that two simultaneous transformations were taking place: Shadow Weave was altering his entire being, while the seventh fragment merged with the previous six to complete Weaver's forbidden lineage.[1] Relationship with Shadow God's Lineage Shadow Weave served as the substitute for the Shadow God's Lineage that Sunny was originally meant to inherit before it was consumed by Blood Weave. Rather than granting additional power outright, it revealed an entirely new facet of the Shadow Slave Aspect that Sunny believed could never have been understood or mastered without receiving the lineage of a deity. Although it led him along a path different from that of Shadow God's Lineage, Sunny recognized it as not necessarily inferior.[1] Abilities and Enhancements

Note: Blood Weave, Bone Weave, and Flesh Weave are the three part's of the nebulous demon's Legacy responsible for the material vessel of their descendant, fused together forming a synergic whole.[21]
Completion
With the completion of [The Weave], all seven fragments of Weaver's lineage fused into a single whole. Sunny sensed every part of himself being tempered as each fragment grew stronger while supporting the others. Although the completion granted widespread enhancements to his body, soul, spirit, mind, and essence, Sunny regarded these improvements as merely the side effects of [The Weave] being completed, believing its true boon lay elsewhere.[5]
Enhancements
Physical Enhancement
The completion of [The Weave] greatly strengthened Sunny's physical body.[5]
- His blood became more potent, increasing both his durability and endurance.[5]
- His already unbreakable bones became nearly indestructible, while the marrow within them absorbed great torrents of vitality.[5]
- His muscles, tendons, and organs were reforged and tempered, making him more resilient while granting even greater explosive strength.[5]
Spiritual and Soul Enhancement
Mental Enhancement
The completion of [The Weave] expanded Sunny's mind, allowing him to fathom even greater numbers of ideas simultaneously.[5]
Shadow and Essence Enhancement
Effects
Although the completed Weave is believed to ultimately grant its bearer the ability to manipulate the Strings of Fate, this ability is not immediately accessible to a Supreme. Instead, the completion of the Weave brings about a qualitative change, affecting neither the body, soul, mind, nor shadow, but the spirit, building upon the foundation established by Spirit Weave.[30]
The transformation alters the innate affinity of the bearer's Will. Prior to completing the Weave, Sunny's spirit naturally expressed the concept of death, while also possessing a lesser affinity to fate. Upon the Weave's completion, this affinity to fate is elevated to the same profound level as his affinities to shadows and death, possibly even surpassing them. As a result, Sunny becomes a unique existence capable of drawing power equally from two source elements, theoretically allowing him to rule two Domains, including a potential Fate Domain.[30]
This heightened affinity also produces a profound change in perception. Rather than immediately granting control over the Strings of Fate, it greatly increases Sunny's attunement to them, manifesting as a mystical intuition that exceeds ordinary instinct. This perception provides prophetic hints and a subliminal understanding of the world around him, as though knowledge is unconsciously drawn from the Strings of Fate themselves. Although the destruction of fate prevents him from perceiving the future, he retains an extraordinary awareness of the past and present. This supernatural intuition enables him to sense imminent danger and discern information beyond his conscious understanding, suggesting that this attunement is the first step toward eventually manipulating the Strings of Fate.[30]
Sorcery
- Main article: Weaving
Sunny inherited the intrinsic predisposition to weaving from the Demon of Fate. He was able to intuitively sense the purpose of spellweave elements due to his connection to Weaver. This talent was literally in his blood.[31]
The strings which were ephemeral and unseen to anyone except for him is due to Blood Weave and could interact with his flesh due to his phalanxes which were reinforced by the evolved Bone Weave.[17]
Trivia
- In Chapter 2217, it was mentioned that Broken Sword came to possess a part of Weaver's Lineage.
- Weaver's Lineage was a secret creation, considered a terrible transgression.[32]
- Anvil described it as "an abominable curse that should never have existed", linking it directly to the Forgotten God, whose blood Weaver carried. Because Weaver's Lineage was derived from the Forgotten God, anyone carrying it posed an existential threat to the world. The reason was that those who were loved, known, or worshiped by humanity could unintentionally propagate the name, divinity, and power of the Forgotten God.[32]
- Despite lacking supernatural intuition (refer to Fateless), Sunny's Supreme senses and Blood Weave would have reacted if a piece of the Demon of Fate were nearby.[33]
- In Chapter 3114, Sunny used Shadow Weave to sacrifice thousands of shades within his Soul Sea, converting them into Shadow Fragments to rebuild the destroyed core.
