He had slain a Great Devil, Vile Thieving Bird's Spawn when he was just a dormant human, an accomplishment no one had ever managed. Though it was weakened, he had killed one of the most powerful Nightmare Creatures to ever fall by a human hand.[1] He also received a lineage memory from it.[2]

He encountered a giant stone egg at the top of the Soul Tree which was not only alive but also capable of sucking the life out of anything that touched it. It failed to eat his soul because he was the only existence in two worlds without an actual soul core. He had the mysterious shadow core instead.[1]
363 He was given the "Seventh" citizenship rank, which was the highest.

His Awakened Designation is SS.

Of all the Sleepers that had returned from Forgotten Shore, there are only five whose files were marked as SS.[3] Out of the five people, Sunny is the least outstanding.[4]

He had bought a nice, beautiful home in the district of the city with clean air and green lawns after receiving the contribution points for his Forgotten Shore report and making some money by selling soul shards to other Awakened on the Chained Isles.

It wasn't a coincidence that Sunny had bought the particular house in the exact district of the city. While the terrace neighborhood was nice and charming, he had chosen this home, in particular, because it stood next to the place where Rain lived.[5]
430 He survived the terrible visage of the String of Fate. Although that left his mind temporarily scattered and empty.
431-460 He survived the tormenting nothingness after he fell into the tear for weeks, not turned to ash by the obliterating divine flames of Sun God in the Sky Below, and made it back to the Sanctuary of Noctis from above alive.

He was able to kill a Saint (Transcendent Human) as well as a Corrupted Monster in a single strike as an Awakened Monster using a wooden knife. Though technically, it was Saint who had delivered the strike.[6][7]

Wooden Knife — a simple-looking knife made entirely of wood and exactly the same as the knife that lay on the white altar of the Sanctuary of Noctis.[6]

Fragments of Morgan's battle helped him find unity in the discordant collection of battle styles he had amassed.[8]
  • Helped him to put his own prowess into perspective.
It showed how much more powerful and experienced he was than the rest of the Awakened. It was so wide that he had been able to cut the best of them down while barely using a quarter of his power. Just as fighting the participants of the Dream Tournament had shown him his strength, fighting Morgan had shown him his weakness. There were other giants out there, no less terrifying than him. They were older, stronger, and had years of battle experience and vast resources that he lacked.[8]
696 He confirmed his ability to turn soul shards into food for his Shadows by turning an object into a Memory of sorts.
748 Sunny is one of the youngest humans in history to reach the Rank of an Ascended[9], entering the Seed only one year after Awakening.[10] He spent a total of three years from being a Sleeper to a Master.[11]

He became a lecturer in the Awakened Academy teaching the course called "Resource Management during Prolonged Expeditions and Intercitadel Travel"

His lecture in the Academy is not a popular course but the large crowd of students had more to do with his identity rather than the theme of the course.[12] His specialty is Dream Realm exploration and the history of dead languages.[13]
874 He received the Transcendent Star of Valor which is the highest military decoration one can receive.
954-955 He managed to survive the kick by a Fallen Titan with the help of his memories, [Undying Chain] and [Dying Wish].
984 He received Order of Humanity which is the highest military honor a person can receive and is officially called a hero. He has also been promoted to major which comes with an increased stipend.
1036 - 1037 He applied Shadow Dance with his Aspect Ability, Shadow Manifestation.

1202 He had killed a Saint with his own two hands with the help of Nephis.
1661 It had taken Sunny more than a year to find a way back into his Soul Sea after being banished from the Nightmare Spell. Even then he could only enter it after long concentration and meditation, but after another year of practice, he could do it on a moment's notice.
1755 (Flashback)

Sunny, as a Saint, was able to survive in the Hollow Mountains.[14]

  • Due to his Transcendent Ability, Shadow Incarnation, which allowed him to delegate rest and recover from mental fatigue. His avatar could wear the Puppeteer's Shroud, which enhanced his ability to endure and recover from mental fatigue. Cormac did not have such an ability, so his expeditions into the Hollow Mountains would only last a few months or two.[14]
  • His experience of trying to maintain his sense of self through Shadow Dance made it easier to resist the pull of nothingness. However, having a True Name and no strings of fate connecting him to other people, places, and events made erasing someone like him easier.[14]
  • His greatest ally in the sea of nothingness was his powerful soul, which was harder to erase than a weak one.[14]
    • He had six cores and carried four powerful creatures in his soul — Saint, Serpent, Nightmare, and Fiend.[14]
    • His soul's nature also had two advantages: the Flame of Divinity, which seemed to repel nothingness, and the fact that he was a shadow with a soul of a shadow. Shadows were especially difficult to erase from existence. The Vile Thieving Bird's Spawn had failed to consume his soul because he possessed shadow essence instead of soul essence.[14]
2120 Sunny delivered death and destruction to the shadow of the dead god (shadow of Condemnation) which in turn formed his seventh core, the Titan core and his seventh shadow helper.
2247 Sunny achieved natural supremacy. (Refer to Sunny's Process to Natural Supremacy)
2348 Sunny's first kill of Cursed Rank is a creature inside Ariel's game, Snow Worm.
2562 Sunny wrote his greatest work, The Exploration Report on Everything which he entrusted to Julius.

Sorcery

Sunny woven his first successful sorcery.[15] He had reproduced the simplest and most common of weaves — the pattern responsible for storing Memories in his soul and then summoning them back through essence — in the dungeon of the Red Colosseum.[16]

The strings were ephemeral and unseen to anyone except for Sunny due to Blood Weave and could interact with his flesh due to his phalanxes which were reinforced by the evolved Bone Weave. He had inherited an intuitive understanding of the guiding principles of spellweave, but it was not like he knew what to do. All he had was his memory of the spellweave patterns he had seen before and a vague feeling of the purpose behind them. He used a soul shard to stabilize his weave.[15] His attempt enabled him to mess up his slave collar into something that was almost like a memory. It was able to connect him to the Spell once again which lasted up to seven seconds but was unable to destroy the collar.[17]

Learned to weave names into the memories he created.[18]

He had learned how to name Memories through their weave. Skipping this step, the Memory would be simply called [???] by the Spell.

He created a new type of Memory that possessed a dire enchantment that fed directly on its own essence. (See Siege Souvenir)

His efforts paid off in the form of a Memory that was incredibly potent. In fact, it was so powerful that only refined materials harvested from Corrupted creatures could withstand the dreadful enchantments.

The Siege Souvenir was bound to be a one-time use Memory. The Corrupted Devil's quill was not going to withstand the release of its own destructive power.[20]

1348 He was able to raise the memory rank of Dawn Shard to Supreme using the soul shard from Black Turtle. (See Crown of Dawn)

Sunny created his first entirely original Memory, Bag of Withholding, which he made for Rain.[21]

Sunny aimed to create something new without relying on imitation. With a vast mental library of string patterns and hours spent studying them, he can modify familiar weaves. However, he is limited in the scale and scope of such alterations. His new ability to fuse with his possessions allows him to understand the connection between weaves and enchantments, which is the last gain he needs to break free from his past limitations.[22]

Finally, he created a spatial storage Memory by having a sufficient understanding of the fundamental rules of weaving, graduating from imitation to originality. This was his first entirely original Memory. [21]

2060 Sunny created his first Shadowbound Relic, Blessing, for Nephis. (Refer to Forging of Shadowbound Relic)

Sunny is working on a complex magical design—a weave made of manifested shadows. A grand, daunting pattern of black strands spans the ruined cathedral's hall up to its ceiling.

Its purpose is to become the foundation of a new Memory — a charm usable by all Sunny's incarnations. Unlike the Blessing, this must be developed and completed manually without the help of the Spell. The design is intricate and full of problems, each tweak revealing new issues. Despite difficulties, Sunny is near completion. Each successful adjustment boosts his confidence and brings him closer to greatly enhanced power and versatility.[23]
2395 The Evening Star is the first Sacred Memory created by Sunny.[24]

Aspect Legacy

He created his personal battle art, his Aspect Legacy, Shadow Dance.[25][26]

Of all his achievements, Mastery of Shadow Dance was the one he was most proud of. Because it was entirely his. It was something he created out of almost nothing, something that bore and expressed his individuality. Sunny had never received any type of inheritance, so this legacy, which was created by himself and for himself, held a special place in his heart.[27]
