The Great Waterfall, also known as the Weeping Goddess, was formed by the overflow of deep canyons, which merged into numerous rivers. The Lake of Tears, below the waterfall, gave birth to the River of Tears, which flowed through several regions of the Dream Realm that served as a waterway for the Song Domain, while its estuary was on the dusky shores of the Stormsea. As isolated Citadels grew into thriving cities, the importance of River of Tears as the connective tissue of the Song Domain was crucial.[1]

Trivia

  • The Citadel of Clan Sorrow was perched on the cliffs of the Great Waterfall. Governed by Clan Sorrow, the city below it, on the shores of the Lake of Tears was an important logistical hub.[1]
The old Citadel of Tamar's clan was described as supremely defensible. It stood at the source of the Lake of Tears, a location that gave it significant strategic value. In terms of travel and connectivity, the Citadel was naturally linked to all the other Citadels in the basin of the River of Tears, making movement to and from the stronghold relatively easy. It was destroyed in the Second Domain War.[2]
