Blessings/Divine

Divine blessing is the highest blessing a god can give short of making the mortal a Chosen. As such, a large amount of records investment is required by the issuing god, limiting the number of individuals a single god can give the divine blessing. Because each god can only have one Chosen at a time, it is not uncommon for a promising mortal to receive a Divine blessing with hopes of upgrading when the current Chosen either ascends to godhood or fails in the attempt. Additionally, some gods may not have a Chosen but will give several prospective mortals a Divine blessing to create a tie with the mortals but give themselves more time to evaluate each one before making the final commitment of selecting a Chosen.
