Dao Sect

Instead of focusing on power through combat, the Dao Sect focuses on levels through learning and enlightenment because they believe that killing someone forces the soul back into the cycle to be cleansed of all comprehension and understanding of the world. This robs them of their experience, robs their loved ones, and destroys any potential future for the person who died. It also creates a karmic debt on the part of the slayer.^[2]

This belief does not require them to intervene in the actions of others. Respecting the Paths of others without passing judgment is also a core creed.

The Dao Sect is largely considered to be pacifist, preferring to avoid conflict unless absolutely necessary. ^[2] When confrontation is unavoidable, their demeanor remains peaceful. They are polite and compliment the efforts of their opponents even as they slaughter them. Even when they lose, they remain at peace, dying with a peaceful smile on their face and self-reflection in their gaze.

• Eron believes that, despite normally not participating in public events, the Dao Sect participated in the Prima Guardian Event because the existence of the system-created creatures was inherently antithetical to the teachings of the Dao Sect.^[2] Similarly, the sect participated in Nevermore and the Seat of the Exalted Prima because they were not required to kill anything that would experience a true death.
