Aeon Clok is one of the twelve Primordials. He excels in the concept of Time. He is one of only two human-born Primordials (along with Valdemar) and is known to be one of the Hidden Ones, Primordials who abstain from involvement in mortal affairs, preferring to focus on their own areas of interest and research.

Despite being a human primordial, Aeon has a considerable following of goblins. Miyamoto informally observes that the goblins seem to view Aeon as their god, a perspective helped along by the fact that many of the actual goblin gods also follow Aeon.[1] The following is not organized enough to be considered a faction but rather a loosely connected religious organization centered on their shared following of Aeon.

Appearance

Aeon Clok appears as an average man with long, angular face. He has orange hair, glasses and black suit with stain on sleeves from work.

Early History

He was born to two F-grade human and chose watchmaker as his profession. He became the first person on his planet to reach D-Grade and eventually reached C-Grade simply by making watches without having ever killed anything. Lore holds that his Class had not even reached level one hundred when he reached C-Grade.

When Aeon was a B-grade, a group of S-grades wanted a natural treasure from him and pursued him into a world that functioned similarly to the Yalsten pocket universe that hosted the 93rd Universe's Treasure Hunt. Despite, the massive grade discrepancy between Aeon and his pursuers, only Aeon survived, exiting as an A-grade. It is believed that he used his mastery of time to kill his pursuers without ever fighting, simply manipulating time to trick them into dying of old age.[2]

Driven by his desire to further understand the concept of time, Aeon ultimately became god. The day he did, the entire multiverse froze for a single moment, startling even the Viper.

Notable Story Moments

Impressed by the Sword Saint's behavior as he endures the backlash of his signature transcendent skill, The Malefic Viper brings Miyamoto to Aeon's attention as part of clearing a debt the Viper owes to Aeon. Aeon is immediately intrigued by the old man, mentioning that Miyamoto had been reborn or died once decades before, possibly referring to the Sword Saint's actions and struggles during the Second World War.

Trivia

  • Aeon was born to a family of watchmakers. As the Primordial of Time, his name might be assumed made up to match his skills and affinities. However, while Aeon chose his first name, Clok is his original family name.
  • The day Aeon evolved to godhood, he stole a moment of time itself from the multiverse.
  • Aeon can build watches that are unaffected by time manipulation, even in Nevermore. No matter what time manipulation or dilation is in effect, the watch will be able to tell you the true time in the real-time multiverse.[3]
