Valdemar · The Primal Hunter · Wiki

Valdemar, widely known as the "Wargod", is one of the Twelve Primordials and the leader of Valhal. He is regarded as the physically strongest of the Primordials, having carved his way from the lowest rung of mortality to the apex of godhood with nothing but an axe in hand. Unable to grasp magic, Valdemar abandoned mana entirely, instead relying solely on his physical prowess and martial skill.

Originally human in his mortal life, Valdemar can be considered a forefather of humanity. As the first human to ascend to godhood, his achievement greatly improved humanity’s Records, surpassing even those gained through other forms of enlightenment.

He is married to Gudrun, who acts as the de-facto leader of the day-to-day operations of Valhal.^[1]

Story Summary

1st era Integration

His tales speak of the day the system came - a war between nations where he stood in the middle - a lowly soldier with only his father’s old axe in hand. Everyone panicked when the system arrived… everyone but Valdemar, who didn’t even bother with it as he kept cleaving, each swing more powerful than the last.

After slaughtering every enemy on the battlefield, he moved on to the next. He became a mercenary who entered war after war until one day, a band of followers appeared around him. They made him king and conquered the entire planet.

Politics after that didn’t suit him. He was ‘saved’ when the king of another planet tried to conquer his, and with all his pent-up frustrations, Valdemar cleaved the entire invading planet in two. That was also the day he learned that he could breathe in space… despite having been able to for centuries already at that point.

Trivia

In the early days of the system, Valdemar was raised to King. He and his men then conquered the entire planet. However, Valdemar didn't enjoy the political aspect of being king. Frustrated, he cleaved the entire planet in two and discovered he could breathe in space. From then on, he traveled the multiverse, searching out the most challenging fights, only reappearing once he'd reached godhood.^[2]
