Blightfather

Blightfather Inmortau, more commonly known as simply The Blightfather, is one of the twelve Primordials, and the creator of the Risen, a race of enlightened undead. He himself was the first sapient undead in history, transforming himself from his previous enlightened race (likely elf, based on Casper's description of him) into the very first Risen.

He is the leader of the Empire of Blight, to which most Risen in the multiverse belong. He uses Blight-affinity, conceptual energy known as Blight and derived at least partially from the Death affinity. The race of Blightwraith, also called Noble Spirits by the Risen, also exist due to the creation of Blight. While the Blighted Empire is at constant war with the Holy Church and has been since at least the second era, it is implied that the Blightfather and the Holy Mother, as Primordials, have a perfectly fine relationship and don't truly hold a grudge against one another at all.

Casper joined the Empire of Blight during the tutorial in order to get his girlfriend, Lyra, back from the dead. He was promised to get her soul back and was fulfilled after Jake received the True Blessing of The Malefic Viper and the Blightfather blessed Casper in order to keep a better eye on him, turning Lyra's spirit into a Blightwraith as part of his gift to Casper. A blessing from the Blightfather himself was instantly enough to make Casper the leader of the Risen faction on Earth, without any other qualifications necessary.
