Details When the developing calamity seemed to be nearing critical mass and there appeared to be no hope of the situation improving, help came from an unexpected source. Although Mordret remained in his self-imposed exile within the mists of the Hollow Mountains, the King of Nothing sent an envoy to assist humanity. This envoy was an immensely powerful Reflection, a Supreme Terror that possessed greater power and seemingly more sapience than the Reflections the original Mordret used to create. Its enhanced intelligence allowed it to act with a measure of independence and fight higher-Ranked abominations more effectively. According to what Cassie shared with Sunny, the Reflection had been born from the very shard of mirror that Mordret used to kill his other self. By adding its strength to humanity's forces, the Reflection helped stem the flood of disasters, at least somewhat, before further relief arrived with the triumphant return of the Fire Keepers from their conquered Nightmares.[13] |
