Nether is the last child of the Forgotten God[3], one of the seven daemons, Ruler of the Underworld, and a sibling of Weaver.[4][6] He was also a builder of things but a practical one.[7]
Appearance
His reflection in the waters inside the eye of the Time Storm is a pale figure, shrouded in darkness, moving across the water with a calamitous killing intent. The darkness is boundless and unfathomable, containing infinite choices. The figure's features are vague and obscured, and all one can see are two terrible wings with black feathers. These wings spread, devouring the sky and drowning the world in howling mist.[8]
Sunny saw Nether in full war mode, shrouded in darkness. He believed it was the Prince of the Underworld, Nether, the Demon of Destiny, and the Demon of Choice. Sunny felt an infinite number of choices within the darkness, which originated from the mists of the Hollow Mountains. Sunny had seen a daemon before, but not since meeting Hope face-to-face. He felt an echo of Nether's killing intent, which made him feel a different state.[9]

Ability
The Prince of the Underworld was somewhat of a divine smith. A builder of things but also of the practical sort. He would have used whatever was at hand, going for the simplest solution. To create a whole race of living beings (Stone Saint and her kin) from nothing, was something only a god would be able to do but the Prince of the Underworld was a daemon, a lesser deity. Daemons are described as terrible beings that inspired fear because of their unknown origins and strange powers. The living stone creatures were designed to bring peace but were born into an endless war instead.[5]

- Nether was described as having been close with the Goddess of the Black Skies once.[1] There was the shrine of the Storm God on the fourth level of his Ebony Tower, which implied their relationship is not simple.[7]
- The rune for destiny can also mean choice.[1] Nether can be the Demon of Choice or Destiny depending on how one decided to translate the runes.[10]
- The Hollow Mountains is where Nether's Citadel still remained undiscovered.[11]
