Hope is one of the seven daemons whose power was most likely tied to souls and minds.[3]
Appearance
Every passion, every desire, every emotion dwelling in his heart suddenly surged forward and ignited, breaking out of control.
In the center of the great hall, surrounded by a swirling hurricane of light and darkness, a vague and graceful silhouette towered above the broken chains. He couldn't quite tell where the light ended, and where her numinous body began… perhaps Hope had no body at all, and was instead made of pure radiance, pure darkness. — Hope's Appearance, Chapter 742 Hope |
Her face was weaved of light and darkness which encompassed the whole world and her blood on the broken shackles was suffused with a radiant golden glow. Her voice sounded like the rustle of countless leaves, like a myriad of prayers, like the wind that blew between the stars. Her radiant eyes can peer into the deepest, most hidden parts of the soul.[4]
Domain
“ ...Hope is a great, powerful daemon. She can handle a shackle or two on her own. ” ― Noctis to Solvane about Hope,
Chapter 728 Spiteful Shadow
Hope's domain was built upon dreams, emotions, and passion.[5]
Hope invented writing and gifted it to humans but the writing itself does not produce sorcery.[6]
Hope also possessed an intrinsic predisposition to runic sorcery, as its creator.[7]

Trivia
- In Chapter 2730, it was mentioned that Hope's prison was formed not solely by divine power or by the lives of her guardians, but by desire itself. Although seven Transcendent men were entrusted by the Lord of Light with the task of keeping Hope shackled, it was stated by Weaver that "seven human lives" were not enough to truly bind the Demon of Desire. Instead, it was Noctis' endless desire to keep her bound that built the walls of her prison and became her chains, rather than their unending lives.
