| There are two hundred and seventy-four abominations, of which two hundred and forty-two are Awakened, while thirty-two are Fallen. The Guardian is a Fallen Devil.[1] | |||||
| - (Eyeless beasts) |
843 | The creatures had bestial bodies, with four bony limbs that ended in sharp claws and long, slithering tails. Ridges of jagged spikes rose from their spines, and their maws were full of sharp fangs.[2] All except for the Fallen ones seemed to have had their eyes violently torn out, leaving only darkness in their sockets. The abominations did not move as if they were blind. There was a strange, predatory precision to their subdued motions.[2]
Defiled Witness
(Gate Guardian) |
843 845(Named) |
[Fallen Devil].[1] The Devil was different from the eyeless beasts. It resembled them outwardly but possessed a more humanoid body. The creature stood on its hind legs, while his front limbs resembled human hands. Its eyes were closed and sewn shut. Something constantly moved behind the eyelids. The powerful abomination towered above its ilk, reaching almost three meters in height.[2]
| Category Three Gate | |||||
| - (Minions) |
857 | The abominations were easy to miss because their carapaces were as white as the snow on top of the mountain and had a rock-like feel. They resembled enormous insects the size of adult humans. Some were Awakened, while others were Fallen, and a few larger ones were even Corrupted.[3]

Remnant of the Jade Queen
(Gate Guardian) |
855(Mentioned) 857 867(Named) |
[Corrupted Tyrant].[5][3] The jade creature resembled an oversized, appalling, monstrous beetle, with smooth milky-white chitin and unmoving black eyes. It was easily three times the size of the Rhino, with six mighty legs and terrifying mandibles that seemed powerful enough to crush heavily armored war platforms.[3]
| LO49 | |||||
| A Category Three Gate, about three kilometers away from the northern wall of LO49. There are about three hundred Nightmare Creatures, and two of them are Corrupted. The Gate Guardian is a Demon.[6] | |||||
| Scavengers (Minions) |
882 | [Awakened Monster].[7] Varied rank and class.[6] It was a whole menagerie of monsters where some were small, some were large, some were bestial and some were bipedal.[6] Scavengers start weak but quickly grow stronger by devouring corpses. They inherit the qualities of the things that they eat. Younger abominations are easy to deal with, but the older ones are truly vile.[6] Each of them possessed unique shapes and abilities.[7] They are a type of Nightmare Creature that inherited traits of that which it consumed.[8] See also: Tiny Scavenger

| Myriad Eater (Gate Guardian) |
882 885(Named) |
[Corrupted Demon].[6] It was taller, stronger, and seemed much more ancient. The creature resembled a giant with a body that was covered by pale, strangely organic, bone-like armor. It was littered with deep scars and signs of corrosion but seemed almost impossible to break. Instead of its face, a single bone protrusion extended forward like a vicious horn.[7]
| A failed First Nightmare | |||||
| Bone Slayer | 887 | [Awakened Monster]. With a white lab coat stained with crimson blood, a grotesque figure resembling a human's ghastly amalgamation, and a monstrous mannequin made of flesh.[9] | |||

| On the way to Erebus Field Siege Capital[12][13] | |||||
| - | 909 | The abandoned complex turned into a snake-like monstrosity's lair some time ago. The bunker contains ninety-four Nightmare Creatures as well as hundreds of eggs. The first two levels only have Awakened abominations, but the heart of the nest appears to be on the fourth, with numerous Fallen guarding it. | |||
| The first swarm consisted of about two hundred creatures, most of them were Awakened, with a few dozen Fallen in command.[14] | |||||
| Black Tongues (Whole Swarm) | 917 | The Nightmare Creature appeared bestial, with dirty fur and emaciated, gaunt frames brimming with feverish strength. Their snouts were long and narrow, revealing hungry maws with black tongues and countless fangs, all sharp enough to cut through metal.[15] The Fallen abominations were especially ferocious. Their lean bodies were twice the size of Nightmare with bloody bone protrusions rising from the patchy fur that looked like morbid armor. Their long black tongues were dripping with venomous saliva, and their tails resembled slithering snakes.[15] | |||
| The second swarm was much smaller, with only fifty creatures in it. However, they were all Fallen, and four of them were Corrupted.[14] | |||||
| Voiceless Prelate | 918 919(Named) |
[Corrupted Demon].[16] The Nightmare Creatures had grotesquely tall bodies, inky black skin, sunken eyes, and motionless features. They wore strange armor forged from dark metal and wielded no weapons. Their mouths were also sewn shut.[17] This is three of the four corrupted abominations.[17]
| Defiled Herald | 920(Named) | [Corrupted Devil].[18] The last corrupted creature whose mind seemed to be gone, shattered by the [Sin of Solace]. It was wandering aimlessly and straining to rip the black threads piercing its lips open. Inky blood was smeared all over its eerily still face.[17] | |||

| - (Giant Jellyfish) |
969 | The corpse of a colossal abomination on the shore looked like a monstrous jellyfish, with its lifeless tentacles stretching hundreds of meters into the dark water. The strange, transparent flesh of the dead dweller of the depths was torn and scorched, with large chunks missing. Strange organs could be seen beneath it, and a lake of freezing slime covered a long stretch of the highway around it. A horde of Nightmare Creatures were ruthlessly feasting on its remains.

| - | 988 | [Corrupted Devil]. A creature vaguely humanoid in shape, bone-white with countless rows of needles bristling from its back. Each needle was about three meters long and weighted too much for several adult men to lift. They were made of a strange material that seemed to be somewhere between metal and bone, and wickedly sharp. | |||
