Mordret had attained Supremacy during a soul duel with the Skinwalker[1][2], which allowed him to inhabit millions of vessels and ultimately destroy the Great Terror. In doing so, he manifested a Domain that encompassed only himself, a strange aberration of Supremacy, since a Sovereign's authority was typically expressed outward upon beings or territory.[2]
Vessels
Despite possessing an impossible number of vessels, he did not appear mad, unlike Soul Stealer who had been driven insane by fracturing himself into countless pieces, though Mordret no longer seemed entirely human either. His face and manners remained familiar, yet something alien lingered in his gaze.[2]
Mordret commanded millions of vessels, both human and Nightmare Creatures. Among the humans were Awakened and many ordinary citizens of the Eastern Quadrant, once taken by the Skinwalker before their bodies were usurped by Mordret. Though Nephis argued that his vessels would require territory to survive, Mordret claimed he did not truly need land, as his Mirror Realm could house them.[3]
Territory
His Mirror Realm, once limited to the reflection of his own Soul Sea, had expanded with his rise to Supreme, becoming vast and lifelike enough to contain millions, with every mirror serving as a potential doorway into it. Despite this, he admitted a desire for territory in the Dream Realm, initially demanding the Stormsea, which he had already partially conquered while impersonating House of Night elders. Mordret viewed the Stormsea as an ideal stronghold, granting access to both human enclaves, the River of Tears, and Bastion, while allowing swift raids and safe retreats into its misty waters. Although denied the Stormsea, he then asked for the Hollow Mountains instead. Mordret also revealed his belief that Asterion was coming and that the Human and Shadow Domains would eventually fall to the Dreamspawn, declaring his intent to wage war against Asterion and destroy him. He was preparing to wage war on the Human Domain but not while it still belonged to Nephis.[3]
Trivia
- Mordret attained Red Hill at Chapters 2803-2804 which is part of Glass Hell region.
