A Strange Truth
- Main article: Ariel's Game § A Strange Truth
This vision is of the woman from whose shadow Slayer was born. Though Slayer has no memory of this life, the vision was revealed to Sunny by Ariel's Game as a significant truth.[4]
A Cruel Fate
- Main article: Ariel's Game § A Cruel Fate
The huntress, identified as the woman in deerskin, is one of the nine mortals summoned by the Oracle—a triad of blind seers cursed and sanctified by their visions of Fate—to avenge their homeland doomed to fall before the Empire of War. First introduced when she transforms from a hawk into a weary woman clad in deerskin and arrives at an ancient temple[2], she is later revealed to have been given the gravest task of all: to slay Weaver, the Demon of Fate.[3]
End of the Hunt
- Main article: Ariel's Game § End of the Hunt
In the vision, Sunny sees Weaver, the Demon of Fate, dying from a curse and a poisoned arrow. They were wounded, weakened, and pursued by a veiled woman — a mortal huntress who is one of the Nine.[6]
Weaver warns her that killing a daemon comes with a price, but she strikes without hesitation. His body falls, and his black mask breaks into sparks. However, as the woman completes the task, she strangely forgets it, whispering, "What task?"[6]
Myriad of Stars
- Main article: Ariel's Game § Myriad of Stars
As Orphne collapsed, Weaver, the Demon of Fate, appeared. Weaver ridiculed Orphne's weakness, grabbed her, and challenged her very worth. In this confrontation, her amnesia and broken state were laid bare—until she began to recall their past, defiantly stating that she had once killed him. Weaver mocked this claim, yet ominously acknowledges the possibility and referred to her as "Fated".[1]
Weaver called her by name—"Orphne of the Nine". The invocation of her name reignited her awareness and strength. Weaver insisted that she was not allowed to die—that their story wasn't over. They commanded her to come find him in the Shadow Realm and prove whether she truly can kill him.[1]
Later, Weaver reached the Void Gate, intent on unleashing the final act. But before he could act, Orphne struck. Veiled and clad in bloodied armor, she drove a bone dagger through Weaver's back, severing his shadow. The daemon staggered, recognizing her. They collapsed together—Orphne died smiling, her mission complete.[1]
Relation to Nine
- Main article: The Nine § Background
Orphne is one of the nine individuals are summoned by the Oracle, a triad of blind seers cursed and sanctified by glimpsing Fate.[3] It was revealed in Chapter 2372 and 2373 that the Nine all possessed [Fated] attribute.
Trivia
- She possessed [Fated] attribute like all of the Nine.[7][8]
- She killed Weaver twice, the first time Weaver died via curse and poisoned arrow[6] and second by stabbing him in the back with a bone dagger and died at the same time as Weaver[1]. Weaver warned her that killing a daemon comes with a price and the first time she killed Weaver forgot her task.[6]
- Orphne began to lose her identity after that first killing, likely cursed for taking a daemon's life. That initial death might have been her personal victory. However, the second death of Weaver appeared to be something entirely different — a deliberate act, possibly orchestrated by the sinister daemon themself. Sunny believed that Weaver had either foreseen or even arranged their own ultimate demise, perhaps because not even they could escape fate, especially when nine Fated paragons of doom, including Orphne, were working to bring it about. Yet even in the face of inevitable death, Weaver had not been powerless. Weaver had not only accepted their fate but had shaped it.[9]
