Classmate of Zorian's. Parents were golem makers and they passed on their enthusiasm to their son who's always tinkering with something.[1] He is very close to Naim, although they're both very different both physically and in terms of personality. Edwin is talkative and expressive, gets excited easily and often gesticulates heavily when he speaks. [2]

Like Zorian, he did not have a chance to choose his mentor at the Cyoria's Royal Academy of Magical Arts and was assigned to Xvim Chao instead[3].

Appearance

Edwin is "a short boy, with pitch black hair and slightly darker skin tone that hinted his ancestors were relatively recent arrivals from the south, or perhaps even from Miasina."[2]

In the story

Zorian and Edwin made several golems together, including Chelik (see Zorian's golems).

Edwin also confirmed to Zorian that in order to make one's golems fight well, one needs to learn that skill oneself (as with animation in general), and that's how Edwin met Naim[4].
