Eldemar

The country where most of the story takes place. It is located at the eastern shore of the continent of Altazia in the Mother of Learning universe. Cyoria, Korsa, Cirin, Knyazov Dveri are all located in Eldemar.

Originally part of a group of loosely allied states called the Old Alliance (officially Alliance of Eldemar), ruled by Eldemar^[1]. A terrible king and internal problems caused it to split apart, and the subsequent wars (Splinter Wars), especially devastating due to guns which allowed smaller countries to defeat larger countries with potent mage armies, split it apart further into smaller groups.^[2]

Currently Eldemar is a smaller but very nationalistic monarchy with a yearning for glory and a refusal to accept that the alliance is over. They are engaged in what they call "the Great Northern Push" where they seek to colonize the northern wilderness of the country^[3].
