Demon of Change is the second volume of Shadow Slave written by Guiltythree. It tells the story of Sunny reaching the Dark City, along with Nephis and Cassie in hopes to find a way back to the real world.
Synopsis
Sunny, Nephis, and Cassie manage to reach the castle but soon realize that their one hope of finding a way home in the castle was extinguished. There is no gateway in the Dark City. The trio manages to find humans living in the city. Many sleepers end up there when they start off on the Forgotten Shore. The trio tries to find hope in the Dark City, riddled with politics of different regions and their king Gunlaug, and find out that their one true hope lies in the Crimson Spire, a huge tower in the Forgotten Shore, seemingly the origin of all the corals of the labyrinth. It contains a gateway capable of leading them back home. However, it is guarded by a Fallen Terror. Seemingly at the end of the line, many believe they will die in the Forgotten Shore however, that fate is unacceptable to Nephis.
