Th Universal Laws were weapons created by the gods used to seal the void. It can be also said that the gods had created the universe by sealing the void in the cage of universal laws.[1]

Known Absolute Laws

Death, Time, Space[1] and Imperfection[2].

Space

Space was an absolute law, and violating it was difficult. However, there were plenty of ways to manipulate space without violating its laws. The original Covetous Coffer had done just that, and the Marvelous Mimic inherited this ability. It contained an independent pocket dimension and served as a portal between the larger world and that space. To a degree, Covetous Coffer had been a soulbound memory, which allowed it to mimic various objects, and the volume of its inner space depended on the potency of its master's soul.[3]

Imperfection

“ Imperfection is also an absolute law, just like death... and so, nothing is flawless. Even the world itself is flawed. Even the gods, who were born flawless, are not perfect anymore. And so, we humans are flawed, too. ”

― Ananke to Sunny and Nephis,
Chapter 1307 Before the Nightmare Spell

The universal law of imperfection was the last law created by the gods in order to seal the void. Everything in the world created by the gods was imperfect, including themselves. This implied that the seal they placed on the Void must also be imperfect and can be broken. It was, in a sense, their Flaw.[4]

The law of imperfection is a fundamental law of existence created by the gods as a weapon in their war against the Void. This law symbolizes life’s inherent struggle and potential for growth, as perfect, unchanging things are stagnant and lifeless.[5]

Reveal

The gods created the universe by sealing the void in a cage of universal laws, like time and space that the gods had created to use as weapons. The world is what binds it, not the waking world or the Dream Realm, but existence itself. The outer shell of a prison built to contain the abyssal beings of the void.[1]

In the beginning, there was only the boundless void of chaos... The void was everlasting and everchanging. Terrible beings dwelled within the void, as well. But then came desire, and with it came direction.

The gods were born from desire. Then, they waged a terrible war on the old ones, the creatures of the void.

In the end, when the old ones were defeated, the gods took direction and used their weapons to wrap it around the void. That was how the void was sealed. And... that was also how the world was created.
