Visions
These are the list of visions came to Sunny when he tried to touch the strings of fate in Chapter 2591.
Note: This is related to Eternal City (Event)
Sunny first saw a vast wasteland beneath a blue sky, where a young sapling struggled underground until it broke free into the sunlight. Over time, the sapling grew into a mighty tree, its roots spreading wide and its branches reaching for the clouds. The tree bore wondrous fruit that attracted gods, spirits, beasts, titans, and humans alike. Eventually, the wasteland transformed into a great forest, full of life and harmony, where hunger, strife, and violence did not exist. The great tree's roots reached into the Shadow Realm, and its branches stretched toward Heaven, uniting all the forest as one being.[1]
This peace ended when cold winds from the west brought eternal snow and blizzards. The once-verdant trees froze, shattered, and blackened, while golden fruit ceased to grow. The dwellers of the forest fled, leaving it empty and frozen. At its heart, the great tree remained alive but trapped in ice, dreaming of warmth. A beautiful daemon with eyes as blue as the warm summer sky appeared, banishing the cold and melting the ice. Life was restored, new saplings sprouted, and though winter returned every year, it was always followed by spring.[1]
The great forest appeared the same but was filled with stagnation and horror. The trees competed viciously, cannibalizing each other's roots. Fallen leaves, branches, and fruit rotted in layers across the ground. Beasts and humans propagated endlessly but grew weaker and feebler without struggle, eventually becoming so numerous that even the forest's abundance could not sustain them. In desperation, they turned to devouring each other, their remains feeding the insatiable hunger of the great tree. The tree continued to grow endlessly, driven by boundless hunger. Then, a stunning daemon with eyes as blue as the cold winter ice appeared, summoning cold winds and an eternal blizzard. The snow suffocated the forest, encasing the great tree in ice. The forest dwellers scattered across the realms, leaving behind the empty Garden of Hunger. The great tree endured, starving beneath the ice, until the daemon climbed its branches and spoke to it. Eventually, the ice melted, new saplings rose, and verdant life returned. But from then on, winter always came to end summer, giving the world a cycle of reprieve from the endless hunger of life.[1]
Sunny witnessed the World Tree, avatar of Heart God, during the Age of Heroes, when it stood as a pillar supporting heaven and earth with human cities thriving on its vast branches. Despite the Heart Realm being free from Corruption, the tree fell sick, afflicted by a virulent rot that turned golden sap into black pus, consumed its fruits with gargantuan maggots, and spread relentlessly over generations. The disease was revealed to be an Unholy Terror, a malevolent remnant of the Age of Chaos or a curse left by a slain Void Creature. Even the tree's divine power could not withstand it.[2]
Answering Heart God's call, the Demon of Repose returned and placed the World Tree into endless rejuvenation, forcing it to rot, die, and regrow continuously until the Unholy Terror was destroyed. The tree regained vitality, but the human cities in its branches were devastated and abandoned. As payment, the Demon of Repose took a young branch and crafted the Night Garden, a colossal living ship that became her home. Though both the World Tree and the Demon of Repose were eventually lost, the Night Garden endured as the last living remnant of the sacred tree.[2]
Sunny, while following the thread of golden light and delving into the String of Fate, received fragmented glimpses connected to the Night Garden. He saw the colossal living ship sailing on a misty sea, battling a storm so ferocious that entire realms could have been washed away by it, and drifting across the great black void between the stars. Another vision revealed the Night Garden moored to a titanic pier of a beautiful, awe-inspiring city built among the stars, a scene that stood out as especially significant among the visions.[3]
When Sunny touched the unusual String of Fate, he was struck by a powerful vision. At first, he saw a boundless, dark void — an infinite, silent expanse of vacuous darkness where nothing existed: no life, no warmth, not even air, only deadly rays of cosmic radiation and invisible blossoms of gravity fields. Amid this darkness, countless stars burned with beautiful silver light. Realizing where he was, Sunny understood that he was in space — the great vacuum, which was also revealed to be the Black Skies, the true realm of the Goddess of Night. Among the stars, he beheld a beautiful city with tall silver spires bathed in starlight — the Eternal City — before the vision vanished when he withdrew his hand.[4]
When Sunny touched the String of Fate again, the Eternal City appeared once more, but now in a state of chaos. It was under attack by a vast, indescribable presence that moved through the darkness of space, obscuring the stars as it passed. This presence was horrifying and unfathomable, filled with cold, indifferent, obliterating intent. Wherever its pale gaze fell, the immortal denizens of the Eternal City were unmade; the silver spires melted, and the fabric of the celestial realm was consumed by entropy. Yet, each time destruction came, the city restored itself — its structures reformed, its beings renewed — only to be destroyed again. A million cycles of death and restoration unfolded in the blink of an eye, an eternity of devastation where the immortals screamed in terror as they died and wept as they were mercilessly revived.[4]
Finally, when Sunny withdrew his hand, trembling, he realized that what he had seen was a battle — a cosmic confrontation between the Storm God and the Demon of Repose — culminating in the vision of how the Eternal City fell.[4]
