Effie/Relationships

Effie and Kai still keep in contact with each other in the real world.^[2]

Effie believed that Nephis can survive and make it out alive from Dream Realm when she knew that she didn't make it back with them.^[3]

Effie trusts Nephis that she won't stop her from becoming a Supreme herself and may even push her into a Nightmare Seed.^[4]

Effie and Cassie still keep in contact with each other in the real world. She and Kai contacted her when Sunny went missing.^[2]

Effie loves to tease and call Sunny "doofus" due to the latter being short and looking stupid.^[5][6] Back when Sunny had been falling into the Sky Below, about two weeks after he stopped answering their messages, both she and Kai got worried. She went to the Academy to check on him, and that was when they learned that Sunny moved out of the dormitory. After making sure he was still alive inside his sleeping pod she stayed to keep a watch on him while they tried to find out where he was. They even went as far as contacting the representatives of the White Feather clan.^[2]

Effie had met Soul Reaper Jet briefly during the Southern Campaign, but they became quite close during the Third Nightmare. Since then, their friendship and comradeship have grown stronger over the past four years.^[11] They treat each other as sisters.^[11][4]

Despite her tough-girl routine and carefully constructed facade of a cynical salary woman. Jet is a professional first and foremost, but she takes her responsibilities very seriously. Her cynical loyalty to the mission of preserving humanity was quite ironically much greater than the noble intent of most ardent idealists. She had already been doing her very best as a Master. But now as one of the five Saints serving the government, her responsibilities were much greater. Due to being much more knowledgeable and experienced, she was involved in the government's administration and decision-making processes, affecting the instructions that everyone received.^[11]

The government was in turmoil, drifting on historical currents. Four years ago, the government decided to invest heavily in the Dream Realm, causing Effie to be permanently stationed in Bastion and Kai in Ravenheart. Effie and Kai mostly dealt with military and diplomatic issues, simply executing the orders.^[11]

Effie cares about how the world will be, as the stuck-up Legacies look down on everyone which drives her nuts. She doesn't trust the kings and queens that they will do a good job once all of humanity is living under their roof.^[4]
