Event Horizon is a capstone skill Jake selected as part of his Arcane Hunter of Horizon's Edge class at level 320. The Event Horizon is conceptual and immensely powerful, based on Jake's Perception skill and is, by definition, limitless. The Event Horizon is the endpoint of everything from the viewpoint of the observer, the point at which everything ceases to exist and nothing can escape.[1]
System Description
[Event Horizon (Mythical)] – For a moment, you glimpse the ultimate goal of the Arcane Hunter of Horizon’s Edge. At the end of your Path, at the edge of all one seeks, you find the Event Horizon… and make it your prey. Allows the hunter to glimpse the Event Horizon, designating a target to be one with it and thus considered your new Event Horizon. Upon activating the skill, gain a glimpse of your true Event Horizon, creating a reality where only you, the horizon, and any potential prey exist. The Event Horizon encompasses all realities, inescapable and unavoidable. Only you are capable of glimpsing the Event Horizon, and what you are capable of perceiving is determined by Perception. Your arrows naturally seek toward the subject designated the Event Horizon and will always reach it should you so desire. You will always see the location of the Event Horizon once a subject has been specified. All effects that scale off distance to your target will have their effectiveness maximized when hunting the Event Horizon. The power of your soul determines the duration of Event Horizon. Your Path has led you here, but for now, a mere glimpse of the Event Horizon is all you are capable of, knowing it carries the promise of an endless domain to one day make your own.
Notable Uses
True Dragon Hunt
When Event Horizon is triggered against Yrelstromoz while she is attempting to flee into space,[2] she described it as all the light around her dying. She saw ring of light but it was both close and impossibly far away. She flapped her wings but couldn't tell if she was moving. The planet had seemingly disappeared except for a single, formless figure. But all she could make out in the sea of darkness was two eyes staring at her.
From Jake's point of view, he described it as beautiful. Everything disappeared except Jake, his prey, and the horizon. Then the horizon curved, folded in on itself until it formed a perfect circle around Yrelstromoz and she flew on a perfectly black backdrop. For a brief moment Jake felt and saw everything and his Sphere of Perception expanded to encompass the entire world. He didn't even need to focus on aiming because in his mind's eye, he could see the perfect path between him and his prey.
Minaga's Dungeon-5
Jake triggers Event Horizon against the Formation Master while completing a Beta Test Run of Minaga's Dungeon (temporarily named Minaga's Awesome and Illustrious Labyrinth Complex Dungeon-5) with Casper. Event Horizon stopped the Formation Master from completing her magic summoning as she instead froze in terror and confusion. Deploying the skill allowed Jake additional time to aim and shoot at his prey and allowed Casper the opportunity to place additional traps.[3]
Casper confirmed that he was aware of the activation, but the skill was too conceptually dense for him to really understand what the skill did. He described it as feeling eldritch in nature.[4]
Jake activated the skill a second time against the Aginian Crisis Protocol Golem to freeze the boss and give Casper more time to set up one of his skills.

Trivia
- The Viper noted that neither he nor Eversmile were able to see what exactly happened when Jake triggered Event Horizon[6]. He points out that the only other skill he can't actually see in action is Moment of the Primal Hunter, hinting that Event Horizon may eventually evolve into a Primal Hunter Legacy skill.
- Jake considers Event Horizon his trump card and strongest skill, even more so than Primal Gaze of the Apex Hunter.[7]
