Dungeons have been a staple of the multiverse since the First Era—strategic resources prized by every faction. Within their confined spaces, individuals find opportunities to grow, battle, and reap valuable rewards.
These rewards go beyond equipment. Dungeons are rich with resources—ores, herbs, wood, and materials essential to countless professions. Even better, these resources regenerate for each new group that enters, making dungeons a perpetually renewing source of power and materials.
Some dungeons are created directly by the System, while others are the work of individuals with professions capable of shaping sub-spaces. These personally created dungeons usually lack the full functionality of Natural dungeons—especially the time-resetting and parallel dimension mechanics—unless their creator possesses a Dungeon Core. These rare artifacts are often likened to Pylons of Civilization, unlocking deeper access to the System and granting the power to forge true, functional dungeons.
Challenge Dungeons are a simpler variant. Easier to construct and narrower in scope, they’re often used by fallen experts to leave behind their Legacies. Like the ones found by Jake, Casper, Neil, Abby and Draskil. Though less sophisticated, they serve as valuable trials for future generations.
Natural Dungeons are rare—and notoriously difficult. However, they are often non-lethal, possibly due to their brutal level of challenge, and those who complete them are rewarded with substantial gains.
