Azal · The Primal Hunter · Wiki

The youngest Ghost King in over a billion years. A genius nurtured within the Ghostlands from birth, he’d been assessed as having a high chance of reaching godhood even in D-grade.

Along with Maltrax and the Bride, he was part of Casper's team in Nevermore. Azal sacrificed a lot of his potential in an attempt to bring honor to the Empire of Blight during his descent into Nevermore. He damaged his foundation, which drastically slowed his progress. However, he was allowed to keep his Ghost King title in acknowledgement of his contribution and the Blightfather spared no resources in helping repair his damaged records. According to Azal, he will be significantly delayed in reaching B-grade compared to the other pinnacle talents, but once he evolves to B-grade, his foundation will be fully repaired.^[1]

Following their time in Nevermore, Azal and Casper are on much friendlier terms and Azal supports Casper being bequeathed a Ghost King title.

Equipment

The weapon he carries around is a powerful Mythical Sword he made himself, and with it, he can absorb spirits and souls to increase its power and use them as resources for certain skills. However, at the end of Nevermore, he chose to do a pre-prepared ritual to absorb and destroy all of the spirits he had gathered not just throughout Nevermore but since he made the sword right after he evolved. Repairing the sword will be expensive as hell and take a long time, and his Records took quite the hit, but its possible he can recover, though it won’t be easy.
