Enlightened races

Races that are able to obtain classes, professions, or both are referred to as Enlightened. Their counterpart is monster races, the members of which have a race level and nothing else. Enlightened races are also often defined by their high intelligence, sapience, ability, and tendency to form structures, societies, and cultures.
