The process of Supremacy of Mordret is intricately linked to his soul battle with Skinwalker in Chapter 2551-2552. (See also the prerequisites for Natural Supremacy)
Summary
Events inside his Soul Sea
Inside the reflection of his Soul Sea, the fragment of Mordret spent his time in a solitary existence, surrounded by the vast misty expanse beneath stormy skies and the seven radiant Soul Cores shining above. Though provided with a comfortable living space — a modest manor, a garden, supplies, books, relics, and curios gathered by his brother — he remained restless and lonesome, aware that he was imprisoned in the fortified heart of the Mirror Realm. From there, he bore witness to the ongoing battle outside, watching as the storm and the trembling of the realm reflected his brother's struggle against Corruption. He observed Soul Cores becoming infected, shattering, and being replaced through self-mutilation and the expenditure of immense power, a cycle that had been repeating for days. Feeling powerless to help, Other Mordret wrestled with his insignificance, until he finally resolved to act. Sitting on the misty sea, he focused inwardly, drawing thin tendrils of white mist into himself. Though not as capable as his brother, he began to cultivate strength from the Soul Sea's essence, seeking to become someone capable in his own right.[1]
Actual Ascension
Mordret attained Sovereign rank during the crisis in the Eastern Quadrant, where the Great Terror known as the Skinwalker had infected millions of humans, Awakened, and Nightmare Creatures, threatening to evolve into an even greater catastrophe. Having prepared for a long time, Mordret made a desperate gamble and challenged the abomination to a soul duel. Within the Skinwalker's corrupted soul, he fought relentlessly, mutilating and poisoning his own soul to continue resisting. To gain the strength to win, Mordret abandoned restraint and shattered himself into millions of fragments, inhabiting and seizing the Skinwalker's countless vessels. The battle stretched over weeks, during which his soul cores were destroyed and reforged multiple times until he finally overcame his limits. By destroying the Skinwalker and claiming all of its vessels — millions of human vessels, and millions of Nightmare Creatures — he transformed into a Sovereign. Unlike the other six, his sovereignty did not rest on Citadels, lands, or subjects; instead, he ruled only himself, sustained by millions of bodies that made him a nation unto himself. Thus, Mordret became the seventh Sovereign of humanity, known as the King of Nothing.[2]

The Eastern Quadrant Crisis
Desperate Gamble
Soul Duel Against the Great Terror
In the profane depths of the Skinwalker's soul, Mordret fought the abomination relentlessly. His own soul was mangled and poisoned, but he tore fragments of it away to continue. To overcome his limits, he shattered himself into a million pieces, abandoning restraint and scattering his essence into countless vessels. With each vessel he claimed, the Skinwalker weakened. The battle stretched for weeks, with his soul cores destroyed and reforged many times, until at last, Mordret broke through his limit.[2] Victory Over the Skinwalker
The soul duel raged for weeks, with Mordret's soul cores being destroyed and reforged repeatedly. His reserves of power, once replenished by Mirage City, were eventually depleted, but he persevered. In the end, Mordret overcame his limits, destroyed the Skinwalker, and claimed all of its vessels—millions of humans and Nightmare Creatures alike. This victory marked the end of the Great Terror and shifted the balance of power in the Eastern Quadrant.[2]

Trivia
- The white mist Other Mordret later drew into himself came from the power he had gained after slaying Castellan. This vast power was what allowed Mordret to regenerate Soul Cores after tearing out corrupted ones.[1]
- Mordret became the seventh Sovereign born from humanity, and the third one to attain Supremacy without the help of the Nightmare Spell.[2]
