Richard

Before the Tutorial, Richard ran a Private Security Firm. Nicholas was one of his employees, so in the Tutorial, he had trust in Nicholas and made him the leader of a small assassin/scout group made up of archers. Despite that Richard had a fear that Nicholas would betray him someday, Richard's action throughout the tutorial are largely motivated by the quest he received on the second day of the tutorial:^[1]

When Richard's group met Jake's group, Richard asked for them to join them to assure better survival in the Tutorial and also made a personal invitation to Caroline on the reason that they needed a Healer. Jake threatened Richard to keep his group safe before leaving his group to join Richard's.

After the threatening, Richard let Nicholas to finish off Jake. But out of their assassin group, only one survived to tell the tale. Richard separated Jake's group so that they won't be always together. When Caroline showed better skill and had better levels, she became one of the members of Richard's elite team and later became the main Healer and a powerful individual, and Richard's group grew in size and power.

Due to William Hanson's machinations, their group came into conflict with a similar group led by a person named Hayden, despite knowing that William sparked the war between the two factions and growing in power everyday. Even when William killed the opposing faction leader's son to escalate the conflict further, Richard still allowed him continue with his atrocities.

When meeting with Hayden, Richard shifted all the blame including killing of Hayden's son towards Jake. When Jake sent message for meet up with Jacob, he executed his plot to kill Jake with Hayden but when Jake escaped, he killed the weakened Hayden and prepared for war to wipe out rest of Hayden's camp lead by Desmond since he wanted to get 90% support to complete the Tutorial Quest,

On the Way, He planned to kill William after the war but William betrayed beforehand and killed everyone including Richard and Caroline.
