Within a divine realm, a god is far more powerful than anywhere else. It is their world, created from their very essence. The mana within is theirs and every speck of energy is under their command. Within this realm, the god holds an insurmountable home-field advantage that makes invasion fatally stupid for all but the most powerful of gods.[1] It is hard to even attack a god in their realm, let alone kill them because as long as the realm held energey, the god can siphon that energy to sustain themselves. As such, even the Primordials hesitate to enter the realm of another god.
Each god has a divine realm and all are different, reflective of the personality and Path of the god in question. These spaces are a domain of the god where they reign supreme. According to the Viper, Divine Realms are considered Minor Worlds, with access extremely restricted.[2] Most gods don't even consider entering the divine realm of another god unless they are absolutely certain that they are exponentially more powerful than said god and capable of beating them in their own domain. When Karroch was on the run from the Brimstone Hegemon, he avoided his own divine realm because he did not feel he was strong enough to defeat the Brimstone Hegemon in single combat. Being cornered in his own divine realm would lead to certain death.[3] Later when the Viper moved to confront the Brimstone Hegemon for refusing to evacuate Primordial-4 as requested, he invaded the Hegemon's divine realm and killed the defiant god within the space.[1] As a result, the realm collapsed.[4] The Viper's success in another god's realm bolstered the belief that he was not nearly as diminished as rumors had suggested.
Although the exact nature of Divine Realms are not yet clear, Jake has had some hints as to what purpose they serve and how one gains such as space. During his training session with the First Sage, Jake was able to transform his Soulspace. He realized that he'd subconsciously modeled his Soulspace based on the Divine Realm of the Malefic Viper.[5] Combined with his experiences developing his sacred meditation skill at the Gate of Enlightenment, Jake theorized that "divine realms were just Soulspaces with a divine flavor,"[6] the natural evolution and transformation that occurs when a person ascends to godhood.
