The Paradoxes were cosmic contradictions associated with the three absolute forces of existence: the Void, the Flame, and fate. Sunny noted that the paradoxes were numbered, implying that they occurred in sequence. The Paradox of Chaos was identified as the first paradox, the Paradox of Fate as the third, while the second paradox remained unnamed. Based on their order, Sunny believed the second paradox was connected to the Flame.[1]

First Paradox: Paradox of Chaos

The Paradox of Chaos was described as the inevitability of the ever-changing Void giving birth to an unchangeable axiom, the Flame of Desire. Because the Void and the Flame possessed opposing natures, they were destined to clash, ultimately resulting in the Void being sealed. As a result, the Void became the source of its own downfall.[1]

Second Paradox: Paradox of Order

The Paradox of Order was the name Sunny gave to the unknown second paradox, believing it to be associated with the Flame. Although its true nature was never revealed, he identified two possible explanations.[1]

The first possibility originated from a question once posed by Nether, the Demon of Destiny, to the Goddess of the Black Skies, and later expanded upon by the Puppeteer Moth, the Spirit of Doubt: "Why did the Flame wane?"[1]

Sunny noted that the Flame continuously waned while simultaneously growing stronger through the lives and aspirations of living beings. According to the Puppeteer, all living beings existed solely to nourish the Flame with their lives. Sunny, however, viewed this process as a natural, symbiotic order rather than one of cruelty. He nevertheless acknowledged the possibility that the desires of living beings could one day become insufficient to sustain the Flame, causing it to be extinguished. He regarded this as the first possible explanation for the Paradox of Order.[1]

The second possibility was the Forgotten God, whom Sunny described as being destined to consume the world and as the literal Flaw of Existence. He also considered that the daemons, having been born from the Forgotten God, could themselves represent the Paradox of Order, regarding this possibility as equally plausible.[1]

Third Paradox: Paradox of Fate

Main article: Third Paradox

The Paradox of Fate was described as the inevitability of the perfectly determined force known as fate eventually giving rise to a being capable of rendering it impossible to determine. Sunny questioned whether that being was Weaver, himself, or both, but considered that detail secondary to the underlying principle. Like the Void, fate ultimately became the source of its own destruction through the contradiction woven into its own nature.[1]

Underlying Principle

Sunny observed that both the Void and fate possessed paradoxes embedded within their own foundations that eventually led to their downfall. Since the Void, the Flame, and fate constituted the three absolute forces—with fate governing the other two—he believed the Flame likewise possessed a paradox inherent to its own existence. This led him to view each paradox as an inevitable contradiction arising from the fundamental nature of its corresponding absolute force.[1]
