Chapter 469 Fire Keepers
Article contents
Fire Keepers were a loose alliance comprised of about forty survivors from Forgotten Shore who shared similar beliefs and principles.[1]
Organization
They are those who had decided against pledging their allegiance to the Legacy clans that wanted the recruit them, as well as the government, and had not become fully independent. Although Cassie was their nominal leader, she didn't command the whole host herself. Instead, they were followers of Nephis that were divided into several cohorts, each operating in different regions of the Dream Realm.[1]
They were not a formal organization, but more of a loose alliance of people who shared similar beliefs and principles. The main of which was the hope that Changing Star was going to return alive one day.[1]
Despite being a small group of around fifty, the Fire Keepers were the best and brightest of humanity, having survived the Forgotten Shore. They had grown stronger under Cassie's guidance and undergone a comprehensive upgrade of their soul arsenals. With seven cohorts, each more powerful than the elite household troops of the great clans, the Fire Keepers were a force to be reckoned with.[2]
Every Fire Keeper knew what they were doing, as the Dreamer Army had become a well-oiled, perfectly synergized combat machine. They all knew their comrades' strengths, quirks, and how to work together in a seamless, deadly harmony.[2]

The Fire Keepers were considered the most talented Awakened warriors of their generation. Under Nephis's leadership, their glory and fame had grown explosively in the past four years. The Ivory Tower, Chain Breaker, the crest of the Fire Keepers, and Nephis's name, Changing Star, became symbols of virtue, valor, and excellence. Their names were known far and wide, all according to her conscious will and intent.[7]
Fire Keepers were Nephis's heralds and emissaries. They were heroic figures with varying renown.[7]
