Paradise, owned and run by Renato, is a city that lived up to its name for all the wrong reasons. It was a haven for vice, indulgence, and everything a depraved heart could crave, or the soul should probably avoid. To maintain anonymity and encourage guilt-free hedonism, everyone wore masks while inside the city. Jake seemed to like this as he preferred to remain anonymous. During his time there he made significant winnings at the casino.

The United City Alliance never officially welcomed the city into the fold of their multi-city alliance, but they also couldn’t quite push it away because of its rising influence. Paradise remained their dirty little secret, an indispensable cesspool where all the controversial, morally grey, or outright illegal dealings could quietly unfold.

As Earth opens up following the conclusion of the Prima Guardian Event, Paradise has emerged as a major trade hub where the merchant factions have placed their headquarters and the city appears on track to become the financial capital of the planet.[1]

Notable Events Involving Paradise

Jake, Carmen, and Sylphie Visit Paradise

Still searching for her family to settle old scores, Carmen recruits Jake to accompany her to Paradise to rundown rumors that her family has re-established their crime empire within the city. Along the way, they meet Peter, who insists on accompanying in their journey. They agree, somewhat suspicious of his motives, but not fearing betrayal. Mascarading as Jake's travel companion, Peter works to gather evidence for Arthur to use against Renato, hoping to gain leverage over the city or its powerful clients.

Meanwhile, Carmen finds her family and is conflicted. She feels like she should no longer care about what they might think of her progress, but she is also extremely angry to see them prospering despite their insidious nature, especially her cousin Beatrice, who intentionally maimed Carmen pre-integration. With Renato's blessing, Carmen confronts her family, killing everyone but her mother and her father, at her mother's request. Renato cleans up the mess, considering the city lucky that the incident was so minor even though they'd been unknowingly harboring people who'd wronged a Runemaiden of Valhal and the Chosen of the Malefic Viper.
