Torun

Torun is a minor character in Mother of Learning, described as "burly bearded man"^[1]. He is a member of Daimen's tracking team scouting the area by looking through flying eyes, which "looked like they had been extracted from corpses of various magical beings famous for their visual powers and then preserved in some fashion"^[1]. Zorian's simulacrum negotiated a magic exchange with him in one restart, hoping that "techniques Torun used to control and make use of his eyes could potentially be used to improve coordination between Zorian and his golems, or even Zorian and his simulacrums"^[2].

He was made a temporary looper by Zach and Zorian^[3], and while being one, participated in tracking down the imperial staff and referred to money Zorian paid him and others as "fake time loop money"^[4]. Like all other temporary loopers except Silverlake, he never escaped the time loop^[5].
