Snuggle is a tattered, dreadfully ugly doll that was found cowering beneath a small pile of rocks in a vast cave in the neighboring mountains, the very same cave the Shadow had once called his home in the Fifth Nightmare.[1] It was Tatal's beloved doll.[2]
Description
Doll
Snuggle was an ugly, crudely made doll with coarse fabric, a rough dress, black bead eyes, and a permanent frown. Tatal played with Snuggle roughly, leaving her covered in tears, clumsy stitches, and scars, making her look more like a battle-hardened warrior than a child's doll.[2]
Lost Soul
The soul inhabiting Snuggle is a strange, naked soul that can wander the world without a physical body. It had hidden inside the ancient, tattered doll, using it as a vessel, and its brilliant, pure radiance revealed that Snuggle had become a living being—a Transcendent Beast. The soul can move surprisingly quickly despite the doll's clumsy form, speak in a squeaky voice, and emit luminous radiance from beneath its coarse fabric. It was frightened of the Shadow, repeatedly tried to escape him, and used a silver bell to shield itself, pleading to not eat it.[1]
The wandering soul was a Transcendent Beast whose radiance was far too brilliant and dazzling, with a beautiful golden radiance like the morning sky set ablaze by the brightness of dawn, the color of divinity. She could identify the shadow's Rank as a Supreme Titan and seemed able to perceive his soul or at least a part of it. She explained that she had created a crystal using an enchantment from a sorcerous item to place herself in stasis to survive, but the crystal eventually cracked, allowing her to regain her senses, and she escaped the box only after the shadow opened it.[3]
Snuggle is a doll with a Transcendent soul within it, and she identifies herself as a human soul. She possesses a radiant soul with unusually potent essence, possibly resulting from an Attribute or several Attributes, including a Divine Lineage.[4]
She is timid, curious, expressive, and somewhat haughty. Despite her small stature, she is surprisingly loud and brazenly illuminates the peaceful darkness. After recovering from her wounds and replenishing her essence, she explores the dead city and cautiously scouts the surrounding lands, observing the Nightmare Creatures from a distance. She becomes increasingly dismayed by the dangerous creatures in the area, wondering whether the place is hell or something worse. She also has a playful side, giggling when she discovers that she and the shadow both enjoy sleeping.[4]
Trivia
- In Chapter 3188, it became a vessel to a lost soul.
- The soul inhabiting Snuggle had been hidden inside a radiant, transparent crystal, whose pure radiance pushed the Shadow's darkness away; when the crystal cracked, a ray of light escaped and repeatedly hid inside objects such as a statue in the city plaza and a training dummy in the city barracks. After a few days of searching, the Shadow cornered the light in the cave and discovered the doll.[1]
When asked about her plans, she admitted that she had spent her time trying to survive. She considered staying alive a sufficient goal because she believed someone will eventually come to rescue her, and she did not want that person to be disappointed by finding her dead.[4]

- In Chapter 3191, she was attacked by a powerful Great Beast, but her radiant soul essence weakened the creature by destroying some of the Corruption within it, allowing her to escape.
