The House of Youth is the last house where the bodies of Riverborns reach the stage of the cusp of adulthood.[1]

Description

The House of Youth is a larger artificial island that encompasses a district with many houses, gardens, and water features. It seems festive despite the desolation of Weave. Children grow up differently on the Great River, with their bodies being beholden to the currents of its time from birth. If brought upstream, they will swiftly reach adulthood, while their parents must grow older to remain with their child.[1]

Purpose

The House of Youth is where their bodies reach the stage of the cusp of adulthood. Parents usually leave for the main city, leaving the kids with other youths. Kids reach mental maturity at different paces, with some staying longer and others refusing to become adults for decades.[1]
