“ Still... you are a human, too. Awakened often seem to forget that fact, so don't be too hard on yourself. Just keep the Professor alive. That is enough. ” ― Beth to Sunny,
Chapter 888 Vanishing
Appearance
A young woman with dark hair in a bun and eyes full of attitude.[2]
She wore a long parka on top of the usual lab coat.[3]
In Falcon Scott, Beth appeared haggard, with dark circles under her eyes, uncertainty in her movements, and a grim brow, despite her previous appearance at LO49. Her temper remained unchanged.[4]
Four years after the exodus of humanity to Dream Realm, she wears a sharp, but somewhat wrinkled formal suit. Her dark hair was gathered in a bun with dark circles under her deeply intelligent but tired eyes.[1]
After the Domain War, she was seen wearing a formal suit, buttoned-up blouse, and a charred white lab coat. Despite visible signs of exhaustion—dark circles, a messy bun, and singed clothing—Beth radiates energy, sharp focus, and scathing resolve.[5]
Personality
History
During the journey of the convoy in Antarctica, she was made in charge of taking care of the refugees' well-being and needs.[9]
Beth had been evacuated and reached safety. She and Sunny kept in touch, sending each other messages once in a while. However, it seemed that she wished to forget what had transpired in the Southern Quadrant, at least for the time being.[10]
In Bastion, her team is facing a significant challenge in developing the infrastructure of Bastion, despite the efforts of thousands of engineers. They are working on shielding technology, which is ineffective due to the strange nature of the Dream Realm. The team is close to creating a working model of a power station, which will enable electrical power to work in the Dream Realm.[1]
The ultimate goal is to produce heat from soul essence, a sustainable source of energy. Her team is working on a way to illuminate the streets of Bastion with electric lights before the end of the year, allowing for various possibilities.[1]
Beth's crowning moment in the scene comes when she finally brought electric lights to Bastion. The successful activation of the city's lights marks a triumph not just of technology, but of her vision and perseverance.[5]
